Pound for pound list are not based in accomplishments are they? If they are then I guess Evander Holyfield, Oscar de Lahoya, Roy Jones,and Tito Trinidad should be really high on my list. Ummm...no? :: I mean, you're going to consistently penalize fighters in certain divisions using that argument. I've never thought this way and never understood it, frankly. But to each his own given the subjectivity, I guess. Peace.
I agree partly. It depends on how you define P4P. It's obviously a subjective list and there are no right or wrongs. (for the most part) However people seem to always forget that P4P the best fighter is supposed to mean relatively speaking if all boxers were the same size, who would be the best? It's not just about who had the last big victory or even how good your resume is. Those things naturally have to weigh into the equation but aren't the only criteria. I'm not going to bother making my own list or even criticizing anyone else's. A simple test is to make your P4P list right now and compare it to what you have 6 months from now. If it has major shifts and changes after every big fight? Your list has flaws.
Whenever these lists are constructed, just stop whenever The Sly One posts his, because it is invariably the most accurate, the most justified and the one that stands up best to scrutiny!
