i've rapidly lost interest in this fight as soon as the postponement was announced.

i'll probably watch it a sporstbar some where unless i find something better to do.

i expect a pathetic and sloppy fight, especially at 166.

Just saw a Vargas video interview at Maxboxing.... and Vargas isn't the same guy at all. He's close to drooling when he speaks.

Mayorga will win this fight. I think Vargas is more shot plus way less motivated.

Me too. Even though i was never terribly excited about this fight, the postponement for some reason took out that little bit of anticpation i had.

The good string of top-level fights we've gotten doesn't help either....it helps assuage the hunger and doesn't make one as desperate.

Good article, certainly....Trinidad knocked Vargas down twice in the first round, though.

Hard to believe Vargas is under thirty!! damn. I bet he comes back after retiring.

Anybody picking Mayorga is a fool... I say this as a reformed Mayorga fan. Mayorga is a scared girl. He already is psyched out, as soon as Vargas connects once hard that is it Mayorga is his bitch.
Vargas will snap that necck and send Mayorga back to Osama!!

Mayorga could have been a good fighter I actually thought he was a lot better than people gave him credit for being. His problem is that he is scared. All anybody has to do is put the fear of him getting hit hard in him and he is toast. I believe Nando that the fear has been put in already. Nando will handle him like Oscar. If Nando does well look for him to come out of retirement. He may be shot a bit but if he fights periodically he mayhave a few more fights in him yet... provided they are against guys like Mayorga.

Yesterday, Jake told me he's doing the round by round because he can't wait to see this fight.

Yesterday Jake was lying, today he's telling the truth.
