... which all but comfirms that Peter-Maskaev lands anywhere but MSG on Feb. 2.

But yeah, this is good news, and the date means it will be paired up with the replay of Pavlik-Taylor II from the week prior.

Is Pav-Taylor II happening at 166?

last i heard, yes. maybe the winner can fight the winner of this week;s 166 lb. match. The WBC can even create a special title for the fight.

Oh, did I say that out loud?

Should be an easy win for Klitschko, but it's nice to start unifying.

Who's the google-ad Maxim chick with the big...ummm...eyes?

You serious? Thinking of the Sanders fight?

Always a possibility, but I don't see it personally.

Sultan doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as Sanders and his shots do not come as straight as Sanders straight left.

Sultan is very average, he will get beat down by Wlad just like the average fighter he is. Wlad by KO in less than 8.

Wlad is very marketable, he just needs to unify and do it with some highlight reel KO's.

A left handed guy with quick hands. I can certainly see him stunning or dropping Wlad. I was messing around though, I still pick Wlad to win. He's not the lock that some might think though.

Maybe in Germany but in the states, Ivan Drago will never be marketable. His fighting style isn't exactly great to watch either. He hits hard but he fights like a big robot who likes to hold a lot.

Yeah because Chris Byrd is a lot like Sultan Ibragimov

    2. Quick Handed.

and has no pop at all. A little bit of power is nice against Wlad considering his chin sucks.

You said left handed and quick handed.

    Thats all.

Wlads chin doesn't suck. If it did then Williamson and Peters would have beaten him.

I do think this has a chance to be a very awkward fight, and one in which Klitschko takes longer to get on track than he did against Brock to get on track.

Ibragimov could make himself a hard target for that left hand of Klitschko and that's what the Ukranian relies on to establish before unleashing the right hand.

Wiliamson weighed under 220 lbs and did knock him on his ass, Wlad got lucky to get the tech dec.

Use some common sense.....oh nevermind.......and yes Wlad's chin sucks.

A big German Robot who fights a bunch of tomatoe cans and then we all get to hear that shill Stewart declare how talented he is. Ibramov is a bum.... sorry to say it, not usually my style.... and Stewart repeats the same bullshit so frequently he actually believes it.

Oh yahh lets watch Dr. Hammer handle another opponent that went into cardiac arrest a few months back. Oh dear lord give us a heavyweight with a decent punch like Sanders who can drop the robot again and get Stewart fired as a trainer again so we can hear Dr Hammer talk about Vaseline and people putting things in his water.

"Hey you son... yeah you... got a pulse? come from the Soviet Bloc? over 200 pounds? ever fought Heavyweight before?"

It COULD happen; Ibragimov hits hard enough (and more importantly, does fire quick and straight)....

But Sanders is much taller with longer reach....and punches very quickly and accurately, WITH cement in his hands.

I said it then (though I picked Wlad) and I'll say it again...there is no other HWT as dangerous early as Sanders (or at least there wasn't back then).

Sanders is ULTRA-aggressive early too....Sultan is not.

And I don't think Wlad will be nearly as reckless that time....I remember just how terrible he looked in that fight trying to bomb Sanders out with one shot, very unlike him....almost as if he hadn't prepared for that fight.

    Peace.

    Good point!

Ibragimov can make this quite awkward ("unwatchable" as Neil says  ).
