A fighter who deserves to fight the cash cow and the best fighter in his division. He has won his biggest fights and is the best fighter in Pacs weight class and Pac wants none of Guzman.

more like the new casamayor...a slick tough fighter that doesn't bring any excitement and isn't a big puncher. Plus, he don't have a huge following, which makes him the worst opponent for pacquiao. I'd love to see valero - pacquiao instead, or valero - soto

Everyone seems to be saying Pacquiao is "ducking" guys like Guzman and JMM lately. Well here's an idea, why don't they fight each other?:dunno:

why? how about Pacquiao starts living up to the hype instead of just being exciting and getting a free pass cause his worshipers say so.

I won't say Pacquiao is ducking anybody. But from the start I knew hooking up with ARum would be bad for the fans. Sure he has a fat pocket but it's thanks to ARum finding the cheapest oponents like Solis and what he is doing with david Diaz.

Guess what? The fight with JMM is the best fight to make at 130 weather you hate JMM or not. It's the fight to make now. Hell it was the fight to make when JMM beat Barrera.

I bet if JMM was to beat Guzman there would be another reason he wouldn't deserve the fight acording to ARum and yourself.

Both JMM and Guzman would school pacquiao. Which is why Arum tries to downgrade their level and pull the "draw" excuse.

I find it funny how some argued Pacquiao was the best in the world over Floyd when he is not the best in his division.

JMM vs Pac will leave both fighters fucked up. I think both managers are aware of that, so that's why they don't make the fight....maybe they're milking it, until there's nothing else to do...

that's nice for Pacquiao who is younger but not for JMM who is older.

Besides whatever happened to the Pacquiao who fought the best? what ever happened to that guy? :dunno:

Good point V. And frankly I can see Pacman sort of going "ohh shit!" with JMM but Guzman? Guzman is damn good but also damn hittable. He is a slickster but Pacman with his natural speed and power will hurt him quicker than people think imo. I have always felt with the lawn jockeys, generally speaking, power is the true measure that separates the good from the superstar qualities.

JMM is an incredible fighter (as polished technically as Floyd) to get by on his flawless technical abilities, but at the end of the day guys like Guzman and even Diaz will come up more frequently than guys with ko power at that weight like Manny.

Why not? Why should everyone in 1 division be waiting to fight 1 guy? if Pacquiao isn't going to fight them then they should fight each other. LOL@ JMM and Guzman schooling Pacquiao. I already saw pacquiao beat JMM. Guzman isn't capable of schooling anyone because he can't fight hard for 12 rounds.

I think it will come to that. But it's funny how the tables turn and there is different reasons not to fight Marquez.

Even Guzman. going into the Soto fight the winner was a clear favorite oponent for Pacquiao. Anybody with common sense called it by saying if Soto won it was a great win and a worhty oponent. but Guzman outboxed that fool and somehow he is the last person Arum is thinking of.

You can fool yourself all you want. Just admit Pacquiao is picking the money over quality. he is not the best at 130 and he is definately not looking to fight the best.

BAsically what your saying is that is ok for Pacquiao to never fight the best as long as he fights guys can draw or are exciting.

I haven't really said anything about Pacquiao in this thread. Mostly because to the best of my knowledge he hasn't decided who he is fighting. If he don't fight JMM though, JMM needs to fight someone and I don't see why he shouldn't fight a guy like Guzman. There is a lot of quality matchups that can be made at 130 that don't include Pacquiao.

that's not the point. Obviously if JMM can't get the fight he will have to move on.

but most reports are that Arum is doing what he can not to make it. DAmn never everyone who follows boxing agrees is the fight to make.

you seem to not want your boy to get tought a lesson again.

I really don't care who Pacquiao fights 1 way or another. As for being taught a lesson? Yeah hopefully he isn't taught the lesson that when you drop a guy 3 times in round 1 it's only a 10-7 round.

So because Guzman has a belt, a win over a Kevin Kelley leftover, following a win over a Freitas leftover (in a lose fight) and hype, now he's the best guy in the division?

Pacquiao has done nothing but go after the biggest names in his division. Lets not forget that he gave Marquez a shot when Marquez was simply an outcast who had been beaten by Freddy Norwood in his biggest fight to date.

Manny KTFO Morales, which hadn't been done, KTFO Barrera something Hamed couldn't do, and is now continuing to move up in weight and challenging the top gus, namely Marquez again (to avenge a victory:rolleyes:) or David Diaz, another undefeated fresh blooded fighter.

What is with all the people hating Pacquiao, is beating the shit out of every latin fighter he's ever fought grounds to hate him?

I read Pac say about a week ago he wants to move up and fight Juan Diaz, so we'll see what happens. Pac will fight a big name soon enough. Bring on Guzman, JMM, or Juan Diaz. Either of those I'd be happy with.

I didn't say hes best i said he derserves to fight the best which is Pac man. Pacs 3 options at 130 are JMM, Valero and Guzman.

Also lets face it Guzman is a big theat and a huge challenge to Manny Pac. Margarito was built up to be a monster by Arum and Maxboxing and accused Floyd of ducking him. He beat Cintron and thats really it. Unless you are impressed with beating Golden Johnson.

Guzman beat just beat 2 top 10 guys and in Sotos case a top 5 130lber.

I wish people would move away from the line of thinking that Pacquiao is THE champ - or even A champ - at 130 lb. That title is vacant, and the one fight that decides it is Pac-JMM II.

If Pac moves up to fight David Diaz, then GLH should put together Marquez-Guzman, and use his newfound stranglehold over The Ring to market it as THE vacant 130 lb. championship.

But for the moment, Pac represents the bank, not necessarily the best, at 130.

Holt beat him (stopped him), but from what I remember, he had to climb off the canvas in doing so. Plus it was at 140, where Diaz proved he doesn't belong.

Never mind. I see what you're disputing. Correct, Diaz is not undefeated, unless said poster was thinking about Juan Diaz
