How was it pathetic. He was up against the best p4p fighter. Look at what De la done against Shane. Shane who humiliated Collazo.

Floyd's little girly brittle hands are gonna break on the iron jaw of Hatton.

A "shot" Oscar doesn't destroy Ricardo Mayorga in just 6 one-sided rounds in his previous fight.

A "shot" Judah doesn't give a prime Cotto hell for almost 11 rounds.

    Check!

Fool....even you could've finished off Mayorga, one the worst examples of a no-skilled bum to ever enter a ring.

Eh? Judah spent most of the time on the floor almost crying like the itch he is in order to get Cotto DQ'd.

    CheckMate. (and don't argue - I'm right)

Anyway, this is going off topic.....I did ask who did you see winning and why, so here's my take:

1 - If Mayweather wants to try and go toe-to-toe with Hatton, he, in Billy Graham's words, 'Gets eaten'.
2 - If Hatton goes steaming in looking for the body from Rd1, he gets tagged hard and often and probably stopped.
3 - Mayweather can't trade with Hatton and Hatton can't box with Mayweather.

    Power: Hatton
    Speed: Mayweather
    Combinations: Mayweather
    Defence: Mayweather
    Durability: Hatton
    Stamina: Even
    Jab: Mayweather
    Left-Hook: Hatton
    Right-hand: Mayweather
    In-Fighting: Hatton
    Footwork: Mayweather
    Desire: Hatton
    Loudest dog-noises when sparring: Hatton
    Fastest rope-jumper: Mayweather

My official prediction based on all the above:
    Mayweather pts12 Hatton

How would you compare the story of Shane Mosely Dympeople?, you know the smaller man, jumping up TWO divisions, and then kicking the arse of the PRIME "bigger man"...? and TWICE mind you?...does he even belong in the same vaccinity as Fraud's enthralling split decision over the current version?,.. well, I tell you one things for sure, Fraud's struggle,...had character, and alot of people like that about a fight, Fraud proved himself to be intouch with "real people" that night. :cheer:

As this is the official thread my official pick will be Hatton UD.

Hatton has the stamia to do what Dela could only manage in the earlier rounds of that fight. The pretty one wont know what hit him.

Fatman UD [SD in the states]

Mayweather has just as much stamina as Hatton - and especially at 147lb.

No doubt maybe ever more - my point was dela had floyd on the back foot but couldnt sustain with that work rate, that will not be a problem for Hatton.

Workrate hasn't been an issue for Hatton when he's in a groove and the other guy isn't punching back.
But Mayweather will be shooting that jab out at him for a start: 7" reach atvantage for someone with such a rapier jab is going to be hard to get past....and when he does get past, Mayweather will turn and roll away to the side.

If I was ever going to put money on a fight (which I don't) I'd put it on Mayweather for this one.

De la Hoya's power had Mayweather on the back foot....I'm sure mayweather may have decided this was the plan before the bell for Rd1 had rung.
Remember - De la Hoya is a guy who has one-shot power from 135-154.

Desire? What makes Hatton's desire to won fights any greater than PBF's. Stamina? When was the last time you saw PBF fatigued and tired like Hatton was against Collazo? I'll Holla 5000

PBF also has great stamina. I'm not sure who has the edge, but it takes a lot more out of you fighting the way Hatton does than Mayweather.

Mayweather has zillions of dollars and 5 titles at 5 weights - I'd say that definately clouds one's sense of desire.

For Hatton, this is that one-shot he's been after for years.

Tszyu was his shot. He's satisfied.

Mayweather's hungrier for this one because Hatton's the one that's been chatting the shit!

 ....are people on this thread really saying that De La Hoya was a "PxP fighter" and that he was/is NOT on the decline in the bout against Mayweather?

    That's absurd.

DLH's decline should be evident. And no, he shouldn't have been on PxP lists this year.

DLH got the KO vs. Mayorga....but he didn't look all that good in every second of every round as some are making out.

I had PBF beating DLH clearly. And yes, it was at 154 which makes it a better 'accomplishment'.

But DLH has CERTAINLY declined...quite a bit.

    Peace.

Biased ref and judges will probably rob the victory from the better man, who is Hatton. I don't understand how the sanctioning bodies still let major fights happen in the States when it has become obvious that a foreigner doesn't get a fair treatment there

Luis Collazo did not seem to succumb to Hatton in the later rounds! Other than being left handed, Collazo is decent, not great like Mayweather.

That's what you do when you go against a natural, masterful counter puncher (with the exception of "warily")
