After Forrest beats Picadildo next week, this fight makes sense. I'm sure Forrest wants another crack at Mayorga, and I'm sure Mayo would have no prob giving him one. Who wins?

I think Forrest kicks his ass this time. Forrest still has some left in the tank, unlike Vargas.

Mayorga beats him still. Don't think for a second Vernon has forgotten about those loses especially in their first fight. Mayorga knows he can beat Forrest and would rush him from the opening bell. Neither is as good as they were before, but it wouldn't really matter either.

Forrest really should be able to beat Mayorga easily. Mayo just has him in his hip pocket mentally.

It's very possible Mayorga has Forrest #. Even this version of Mayo may beat the Viper.

Forrest would beat Cotto, but not necessarily Mayorga

Forrest has to prove that he's the better sample of Mayorga leftovers next weeken against Michelle; how funny would it be by the way if Mayo KO'd Forrest again BTW?

Extremely. I dont care for Forrest at all, I'd be rooting for Mayorga all the way. I just dont think Mayo has the chin, or stamina to pull off what he did against Forrest 5 years ago. Forrest isnt a corpse like Vargas. I could be wrong though, maybe Mayo will beat his ass again. I certainly hope so.

I see no reason for this fight. Forrest has already proven he can't beat Mayorga. Why give him a 3rd chance if he failed the first 2 times?

Mayorga has the power and the chin to be a really good fighter, in spite of his unorthodox style. It's just a shame he doesn't seem to take his sport seriously, and is way heavier then he should be.

A lot of people don't like him, but when he's at his best, like he was against Forrest and Six Heads, he's a damn good fighter.

I agree, Forrest still has his boxing skills, Mayo is just older. I hear everyone saying Mayo has his card, but I see Forrest coming out for this one on his game and truly giving Mayo a first class beatdown.

Forrest gets hit a lot and Mayo can still punch. Who knows...I know I don't need to see it unless it's a Showtime PPV type off night show like this.

    Screw that fight.

    Give me Mayorga\Pavlik.

I don't think Mayo would win, but damn, it would be a fun fight while it lasted.

It would be....if Ouma hasn't lost it mentally/emotionally.

I'm starting to think his heart isn't in it at all anymore.....that or he's starting to decline but he seems to young and fresh to be declining physically.

    Peace.

Many people forget that Forrest was robbed against mayorga in their rematch btw. Sure, Forrest could have won it clearer, but he deserved the nod anyway.

It's the truth. Out of the two wins, the first one was a bogus stoppage, the other was a bad decision

Which one do you disagree with? In the first fight, Mayorga put Forrest down with three rabbit punches, Forrest got up and the ref stopped after doing the dumbest thing I have seen. In the rematch, Forrest won seven rounds

Not a bad stoppage. Mayo battered Forrest like a red headed stepchild. Forrest was on queer street well through the count.

Have you seen the stoppage. The ref holds up two fingers, pulls them in different directions and then stops it. How were Forrest's eyes supposed to look in that test?

the rematch was not a robbery, just because youd disagree with the decision, it doesen't mean it was a clear robbery. Understood, finn?

The punch that stopped Forrest was a high right on the temple. That is not a rabbit punch. The rabbit knockdown was in the first.

It still bedazzles me that a talented and skilled boxer like Vernon could lose to a no talent and lumbering clod like Mayorga.

Sure....but how many times you know of where a no talent, wild swinging brawler's style overcomes a worldclass, skilled boxer with superior handspeed and a huge advantage in height and reach's style?

I had forrest winning the rematch on clean punches. I can't give rounds to a guy based on wild flails that miss yet push the opponent around

Yeah...you HAVE to pick Forrest, but then again I picked Forrest in both the first two fights as well. You just never know...Mayorga may have an "indian sign" over Forrest.
