are you saying Hatton, though, or the company he keeps? There shouldn't be a difference, but sometimes people fail to separate themselves from their surroundings, even if their views are completely different. Kelly Pavlik is probably one immediate example I can think of. I truly believe he can get down with all walks of life, but could see a lot of his boys cutting holes in their best whites.
:: Yep, some of Pavlik's boys look a bit "dodgy". But trust me as a black man that grew up in England..I know the Hatton type very well. Put it this way, there's no coincidence why ALL of my black friends in England want Mayweather to destroy Hatton. We all know what he's about. I laugh when I see him, because I KNOW (As muzse said) the type of terms he'd be using of Mayweather behind closed doors and when the camera's aren't on him.:: I grew up with those exact characters.
24/7 has Done a GREAT Job of IGNORING the Race Issue, but OBVIOUSLY,it's There...REED Isn't Sure IF HBO Should Address it or How... REED has NO Doubts that Behind Closed Doors, Ellerbe, Roger & Others R Saying "Ain't No Way this White Motherfucker 'gon Beat U Floyd"... Likewise, Black, Rich, Arrogant Sorts GRATE on a Lot of Non Blacks, so REED has NO Doubts that Floyd's Color is Referenced Behind Closed Doors, by Hatton's Peeps... Doesn't Make EITHER of the Fighters Racist though... These Guys R On the Brink of FIGHTING Each Other...Under those Circumstances, Colorful, NON-P.C. Language will B Used from Time to Time... REED
A bit off topic, but last night my wife asked me if I heard anything about Floyd hurting himself in training. she asked because he alluded to such on Dancing With the Stars finale, passing on one last dance (as all contenstants are normally required to do onthe finale) for fear of RE-aggravating an ankle injury.
Like Mrs. JAKE Said,All of the Contestants Came Back for the Finale... All of them Danced 1 Last Time EXCEPT for Floyd & Wayne Newton...Newton Cited "Doctor's Advice"...Floyd Cited "a Real Grueling Training Camp & a TENDER Ankle", to B Exact... Honestly, REED Took it as Floyd NOT Wanting to RISK an Injury by Dancing...It's Not like he was Walking w/a Limp or Anything... REED
Ok thats what I was trying to find out, as that sounds more logical. I was kinda surprised to hear he broke camp to attend the finale (though more surprised to hear that the Spice Girls chick didn't win), as it would've been understandable for him to not make it.
AgREED 110%...Can't remember reading such an unpleasant collection of random, racist, stereotypical horseshite for quite some time. What bizarre images of Manchester and England generally some people have... :dunno: MTF
Sly,my impression from day one with you is that you're a racist fucking prick that got beat up in the UK cause you spouted up some shit you couldn't back up,and got your ass handed to you because of it!!::
"Growing up with characters" or going on what we hear of other places doesn't give any of us the right or perogative to automatically stereotype or categorize or label anyone. Or who that person hangs around with for that matter, when we simply do not know them - nor have seen any evidence of how they are beyond what we've seen on camera. Peace.
watched it earlier but didn't see any of roger mayweather shopping.....looks like Sky been editing/cleaning up the US version
Ah be quiet, you voice of reason you! :: Stop trying to be mr omni benevolent! :tease: Hatton and his mates deserve a kickin':kick:
So you're saying "The Breakfast Club" didn't accurately portray your formative years growing up in Shermer, Illinois? :dunno:
I thought the same thing, that Hatton was mocking Floyd with more resentment and disgust than usual, but I try not to read too much into things like that and overanalyze. Shows like this can be good at getting people to look too much into them.
They BOTH Need SUBTITLES & Thousands of Dollars Worth of DENTAL Work... But Yeah, it'd B a GREAT Fight... REED::
