well, if they're smart, they'd get forbes. he's not as good as PBF obviously, but he's fast and counters a lot like PBF.

i know ODH used Forbes among others.

another guy who could be useful would be Nate Campbell.

Forbes is fast but he doesn't use his legs and doesn't have a shouler roll defence. He likes to trade much more then Floyd too.

Shane is a much better choice then Forbes but i guess Hatton wouldn't want to get his ass whupped everyday in the gym.

Style wise Guzman is probably the best guy for the job seeing how he fights the same way as Floyd.

forbes doesn't use the shoulder defense? are you craxy? have you ever seen forbes fight? not only does he use the shoulder defense, but the pull counter is a favorite move of his also. and he has a short counter right hand that's toneyesque too.

Mosley? not at all. he fights nothing like PBF. nothing.

Pretty Boy is overrated. His last 2 performance were less than impressive against a shot inactive DLH and slow as hell mediocre no-power Baldomir.
It's gonna be a rude awakening for PBF. Now you'll see why PBF is NOT a legend in the making nor is he on par to being an all-time great. He's just an arrogant little fake thug with a boring style who waited until all the stars died off and got old till people started noticing his existence.
December 8 - the END of Pretty Boy!!!! Much like the greats of yesteryear including the legendary Roy Jones Jr, PBF too will hit the canvas!

The only way Hatton stops Floyd is with a murderous body punch. Floyd will take Hatton's head punches and smile at him.

plus, if you've been watching 24/7 he's got this new mantra now where he claims to be the center of the universe in terms of providing financial opportunities for his opponents. he considers it his doing that ODH got his biggest pay-day ever fighting him. and same for Judah and Baldomir. Whoa. wtf does he expect. it was the first time Baldomir fought on HBO - he could've been fighting David Estrada and it would've been his biggest pay-day ever. And as far as Judah, the guy's always been screwed at the table because 9 out of 10 of his fights he's coming off a loss. and in the case of the Tszyu fight, he was so confident he'd win he probably didn't even negotiate tough for that fight.

PBF is a master at twisting around circumstances and attributing all that is good to himself.

my view is he's a plague on boxing and i can't wait until he loses - whether it's to Hatton or not. supposing he beats Hatton, he's gonna have to face Cotto, Margarito or Williams. Of those three, the only guy I give him a chance against is Cotto.

:bears:Absolutely! I find it odd how all the attention in boxing shifted towards Pretty Boy as soon as the stars either retired, got old, or got KO'd ala Lennox, Tyson, Holyfield, Toney, Roy Jones, DLH, Trinidad, etc. During the peak of this board, the majority of threads and posts revolved around those fighters.
When they all were either past it or retired, suddenly Floyd 'P4P greatness' threads were popping up all over the place.
Floyd was just a 'next in line' fighter, he never superseded or exceeded the names of the aforementioned stars of boxing because he was a joke of a showman and a general bigmouth with a big ego.
Nobody paid any attention to him. He just doesn't have that "IT" factor like those fighters did. He's so boring, he has no flair, no character, he's a fake and a phony who wants so badly to be noticed but really he's a zilch.
The guy crys in public and threatens to retire cause he "can't get no love". I hope Hatton murders him and just rids the sport of this fake thug big mouth little clown!

Why would anybody take your picks seriously either considering what went down in the Taylor/Pavlik fight? "The Sly one has Spoken!"

If that spoarring took something out of a fighter then it has to be Baldomir, who looked like shit in his last fight... :flip:

well, according to you PBF, known for having almost no punching power, can stop just about any fighter he faces. so who takes your opinion seriously? i don't care if you take it seriously or not. what do you propose? i stop offering my opinions? and just agree with everything you say? that's meant to be a sarcastic proposal by the way, but having made it, i suddenly realize your arrogant azz probably thinks it's a good idea.

yeah. round 2. the scenario you envisioned would play out that did not. your prediction was wrong because you misjudged Pavlik. you thought if he were hurt by a Taylor he'd get stopped. he didn't. he recovered spectacularly and won the next round decisively, never the worse for wear.

don't try to get credit for round 2 as if it somehow makes your prediction of a Taylor KO victory any less wrong. if anything, it makes it worse because it demonstrated that even given Taylor's ability to hurt Pavlik, he couldn't stop him. think about it. it'd be one thing if Taylor never managed to land those shots you thought he would - you could still argue that your prediction was plausible. but guess what. taylor did land those punches and still couldn't stop Pavlik virtually proving that under no circumstances could taylor ever stop pavlik. you predicted an outcome that we now have proof could never ever happen.

I though Hoya got $25 million for the Trinidad fight...and $30 Million for the Hopkins fight...didn't Pollo get something in between 25-30 for the Mayweather fight?

plus the ppvs...De La Hoya came out with 50-60 million payday...

Shane at least has speed and can move a bit. He at least can imitate Floyd. Forbes is the total opposite of Mayweather he fights inside with his hands held high.

Don't get your hopes up. If Floyd was fighting Cotto or Williams maybee it could happen but Vicky Fatton aka Ruiz Jr isn't going to do shit. Now hes made some coin hes finally ready to fight Floyd and cash out.

It might not be such a hot idea, all the same. Anthony Mundines father was, if you listen to the Australians, ruined by heavy handed sparring partners who softened him up for Mundine. Terry Norriss, it is generally believed, ruined himself with 12 round gym wars. He never took a prolonged beating in his career- it was the sparring that did him. Keith Mullings fought a left over.

I guarantee you all that Floyd will win. And he'll win dirty.

Whenever hatton gets near him he'll hold and tie Ricky up. Then he'll just potshot his way to the most boring megafight victory ever.

    You heard it hear first.

If there is holding it will be 100% Vicky Fattons fault. In fact this is the first fight Mayweather has been in where if the fight stinks it is 100% the other guys fault.
