I think the counter right uppercut will be also be a key punch for Mayweather.

Mayweather UD in a 8-4 type fight. Hatton has a better chance than a lot of people are saying and he'll be competitive, but I'm going with the "safe" pick of Floyd by decision.

Mayweather going broke in 10 years has nothing to do with being black. For Sly to even bring that up shows he has some serious issues with race.

You addressed my argument with Mike Tyson who only has being a boxer and being black in common with Floyd and
MC Hammer who only has being black in common with Floyd...

So even if you didn't have any dreams of getting a race-based reply, you should have expected it.

The only question in my mind is not who will win the fight, but rather will Mayweather stop Hatton or let it go to the cards?

I cannot see a scenario (barring injury) where Hatton beats Mayweather. I just don't see him being able to exploit any advantages in the ring. I expect Hatton to flurry & hold often in the early rounds, having watched the DLH-PBF tapes and seeing that Mayweather will let you throw shoeshine combinations while the crowd reacts.

But once Hatton's workrate slows and the holding increases, I fully expect the Target Practice to commence. PBF will sharpshoot the oncoming Hatton for the rest of the fight until he either stops him or the bell ends the 12th.

I am amazed by how many people (mostly the casual fan and the mainstream media) are buying into the 24/7 - fed myth that Hatton is this murderous ball of power-punching fury. When? Hatton hasn't fought in that furious style since the days of beating up on the Pederen's and the Stewart's of the world.

As he has moved up in class (and weight), Hatton has become a selective pressure fighter with pretty good skills and a admirable will to win. But his furious style vanished long ago. He is nowhere near the classic pressure fighter that Cotto or Pacquiao is... the type of fighter who would MAKE someone like PBF fight on their terms like Castillo did in his first crack at Floyd. Instead, Hatton will start agressively and then fade away as the fight progresses (like the Urango and Collazo fights).

I am a believer that a lot of Hatton's strengths are often overlooked. I believe he has better handspeed than he is given credit for, as an example. But having said that, his shortcomings are far much more likely to show up on Saturday night: namely the fact that as his stamina wears, his workrate and he boxing skill erode. And when that happens, he is little more than a sitting duck for the most highly skilled fighter in the world.

Now, the only question is whether or not PBF will keep his foot on the gas and go for the KO. His performance against Baldomir is the most evidence to the fact that he will not (as depressing as that is). However, because there may be a shortage of MEGA fights to be made down the road, I suspect that Floyd may try to make his mark in this fight if given the opportunity.

That's why I'll say oficially, Mayweather by late stoppage (TKO 11).

Being black is the only thing Mayweather has in common with Tyson and MC Hammer?

    C'mon now.

I'm looking more at their attitude toward money more then anything. Anytime you see Mayweather he's throwing money around, or talking about money, or talking about his material possesions or his entorage.

But if you want to think it's a race thing, that's your call.

Agreed, even the American jurisdictional system is in on the trick. Floyd is the misunderstood nice guy with millions of dollars, who won´t pay child support. :kick:

I think you got the reaction you were going after.

Floyd will be mega-rich in 10 years despite your or many others' hopes. That's mY guess. The guy is smart despite the persona he puts forth to sell fights.

It wasn't the reaction I was going for, but knowing how some people are on this board, it's the reaction I should've expected.

Whether it's a 'persona' or not, it seems Mayweather doesn't understand the value of a dollar, and doesn't seem to realize that his days of throwing money around and having bodyguards to carry his jewelry won't last forever.

Don't forget what family he comes from.

mayweather has legitimate guys looking after his financial affairs. not don king, john horne and rory holloway.

he will have netted 25-35million this year alone. he already has millions of dollars in assets. you have to be a complete imbecile to think he'll be broke in a decade.
