How about Kessler vs. Sloppy's "other" signature win. :laughing: We all know Kessler beats Eubanks. And I'm guessing most people will agree with me that he also beats Lacy. So there you have it - the best fighter Calzaghe has managed to beat his whole career is Kessler. Not sure that's the stuff of legends or not. :: Sloppy is good. Much better than I gave him credit for. And I give him all the credit in the world for beating Kessler (who I thought he'd lose to). But I said it before the fight, and I'll say it now. Sloppy has in no way undone the 10 years of treading water he's tried to pass off as a title reign. If every champ camped out in their home-town and fought the kind of competition that Sloppy has, we'd have dozens and dozens of champions with 20 defenses. And boxing as a sport, by the way, would suck and I probably wouldn't bother watching it.
Kessler seems like the bigger puncher (Calzaghe is a big puncher too but he doesn't throw them with full force). He would land his right cross at will and I don't think Lacy could take that all night.
Addressing both TKO and UGTBK: Kessler may hit harder than Joe, but it's only marginal, and Joe more than makes up for this with volume of punches and accuracy. Therefore Calzaghe delivers more punishment than Kessler does. If Kessler was a LIGHTS OUT puncher, y'all would have a point, but he's not....and he wont be hitting Lacy as often as Cazaghe did. No way he stops him.
I'd also say Kessler is the more accurate with his hard punches. Calzaghe is faster and can throw more. It depends on the style of the opponent which one can cause more damage. Against a better-protecting fighter calzaghe would be more effective, but against Lacy both can land pretty much at will, so Kessler might stop him.
You act as if Calzaghe didn't have Lacy out on his feet at least once in the fight. It is ignorant to claim that "no way" does Kessler KO Lacy. Kessler is a big puncher.
now now, lets not take anything away from Joe he kicked the shit of out lacy from 12 rounds....I just think Kessler lands cleaner harder shots thus giving him the KO

I change my mind on this one after watching how CRAP Lacy looks now. Kessler stops him on his feet. Lacy's done.
