Guys - I wanna apologize for having an off day on this show. I was just flailing on the delivery, I hope it doesn't happen again.

I would like to give a ton of credit to Staff who was awesome.

It's nice to see a point of view which goes against the norm.

Most think Karl's the weak link or like myself stopped listening because of him.

It's nice to see minority opinions expressed.

he provides the best technical insight from a boxing perspective

I love my man sly but I don't really think I need to listen to his opinion regarding the Hatton/Floyd fight. I knew from day one where he stood firmly.

Sly seems like his heart wasn't in it, perhaps a bit pee'd off because he's held hostage by his lady at some party while the fight's happening.
steve dave was way off his game today, hopefully he'll be back to his usual top notch self next time.

I really enjoy's Karl's insight into each subject. I like how he makes references to past fighters and offers a more technical side to each fight. Without him I don't think the show would be as good.

Andrew struggled in some spots, and maybe we need a little more life in the intro. Sounds like you didn't even want to be there.

Reed and Stafford are always solid.

    Good show

:bears:  Do it LOK. You know what LOK? 5 years everybody has known you but nobody knows the amazing knowledge you have of this sport. You should put all these loudmouths to shame one day and demonstrate your amazing knowledge. I know you've got tons and tons but you don't really care about sharing it because you'd rather have fun and joke around instead.
I think you have much more knowledge than anybody on fightbeat radio.

I'm just watching the Mayweather-De La Hoya fight again (been watching Mayweather and Hatton fights all week  )...

Floyd can't be beaten mentality ever!

    Biggest fight in history

99% of the crowd were against him and with Oscar.

Oscar was bigger, taller, stronger and more powerful.

Everytime Oscar threw a combination the crowd roared him on.

Floyd amidst all of this stuck to his gameplan, was never fazed and won arguably 8 rounds.

No one handles the big stage and the pressure like Floyd.

38,000 English fans will mean nothing to Floyd...the crowd could NEVER be as partisan tomorrow night as it was on the 5th of May.

disagREED. Even with only 3,800 tix allocated to his peops, Hatton's contingent will still make far more noise than the 16,000 busisnessmen who sat on their hands in the same arena this past May.

Not that any of that helps Hatton fight any better, mind you. Just saying...

There's a first time for everything Sly One! I didn't think Roy Jones could get knocked out with 1 punch by Tarver but it happened. I didn't think Douglas could smash Tyson but it happened. Heck I didn't think even Oscar De La Hoya, despite fighting at a higher weight class, would be put down for a 10 count with only 1 punch, but it happened.:dunno:
I also don't think the crowd was fully pro-Oscar in the Floyd/Oscar match. It got so damn boring that all they wanted to see was somebody connect on a decent punch.
Also take into account, Oscar was VERY inactive and long past his best days in his mid 30s. Floyd fought a deteriorated Oscar.:dunno:

    Come on!

On May 5th the crowd were very vocal in their booing of Floyd from the moment it put on the Sombrero for his ring walk. That was the most hostile corwd in a megafight that I've seen for some time.

Fans booing, and a legion of supporters hating your guts are two very different things.

This will be a completely different environment than your standard 21st century Vegas superfight

And also, it was mostly a business crowd in that DLH/Floyd fight and it was pretty sh*tty. Can't wait to hear the chants of "God Save The Queen!"

that's what i was alluding to earlier. Basically the same for any Oscar fight, the past few years (pretty much any crowd post-Vargas)

Karl made a very good point about Hattons ability to seemlessly shift to the left or the right and uncork a left hook to body head combination or right hook body, uppercut to the head combo from the other side. Very good observation and something that could give Floyd alot to think about.

Trust me...it's going to be a great fight! :bears:
