Anyhow, I think this is an uphill fight for Mayweather because it's obvious that people are impressed by percieved effort. He'd better lok like he's working up a swet on the ropes otherwise all close rounds will go to Hatton and there'll be another "split" :notallthere: decision for Mayweather

Hatton wins this fight in the 10th by TKO with a gritty pounding to Mayweathers mid section which opens up the head and slows the faster more gifted fighter down.

 

Mayweather by decision, 8-4.

I think he is going to look/be stronger than many expect on the inside when needed and will be able to handle and stay with Ricky in there. Hatton uses his elbows and shoulders to create space to punch, but that creates opportunities for Mayweather's short inside uppercuts and hooks as well.

It'll be rough the first 6 rounds but I think Mayweather pulls away and finds more and more opportunities to hit Ricky clean with lead left hooks and counter rights because he tends to get sloppier as the rounds progress.

He is going to be looking for Hatton's angles when he comes in to go to the body and will use his elbow and counter right uppercut and feet to ensure Hatton isn't quite in position as much as he'd like.

Ricky will give a good account of himself and his hand/foot speed will be factors that PBF will have to adjust to, but I think there's a clear winner and that's Mayweather in this instance.

I'll say this, regardless of what happens, I think Hatton's head is more affected by the task at hand (Floyd) & the scope of the event than even he may realize. Floyd's gotten under his skin, who knows whether it'll make a difference or not. I also doubt PBF is as sure of himself as he comes off.

 

Hatton arguably lost to Collazo. He can't deal with speed.

Floyd carves him up and gets a stoppage on cuts in the 7th.
