Earl knocked Katsidis down in their interim world title fight not six months back.

I had Earl to win this at 6-1 in the UK.

Khan fucking destroyed him inside a minute and a half.

This will get lost in the build up to the big one tonight, but I am starting to come round- maybe this lad is the business. For a little guy, he may be chinny but he can BANG

I STILL fancy he might be another Naseem Hamed, and I WORRY when I see Frank fucking Warren organising things, but I'm starting to think I may have been wrong.

Keep your eyes on this lad- he may very well be a world champ in a year or so. I'm almost tempted to start the bandwagon...

Don't start the bandwagon yet....but I have to admit I was quite impressed when I saw the result.

Donny, if you haven't seen the 'fight', make sure you do. Earl looked like he wanted to work the body, and flicked a few jabs to the mid-section from the off, and then Khan absolutely clattered him with a left hook. After that, it was a matter of time.

    Very impressive.

I hope he fights Jon Thaxton next- if Amir disposes of him in similar fashion, then I'm rolling out the bandwagon, regardless!

I've been a Khan detractor since he turned pro, this is the first time he impressed me.

That was a very good performance, there's no denying it.

He somehow looked a lot better than normal. QUicker, sharper, better timing, and more importantly - more power. He really stepped into his punches tonight and look what happened. Demolished little Earl.

This sums up my thoughts entirely- I have slated him to date as a little Naseem clone, who was going to win and defend some trinket for ever and a day thanks to Frank :shit: Warren

But he looked very, very impressive tonight. Very powerful. The left that flattened Earl was a BIG, flush shot, no doubt.

i too had money on Earl......15/2 against the knockout was too inviting....but it was the quickest tenner i've ever lost

like others, i haven't been thoroughly convinced by Khan in the past but he looked class last night......Khan's speed and accuracy is frightening, although Earl has never been hard to hit

However that was just one fight, and one style in front of him. There is a danger of reading too much into this result....he could fight Willie Limmond again next month and still have the same problems he had earlier in the year

Taking on the british champion Johnathon Thaxton would be the logical next step

Did you see Earls eyes before and after the fight???

He was spacy before the fight. He already is slurring and vacant eyed.

Khan fought a dead man last night.

And he is STILL fighting guys who are smaller and lighter.

Yeah, and Gamache weighed as much as Gatti did. On the scales that is.

And please.....take a look at this mans eyes...he is clinically damaged.

ok so he's not very photogenic :dunno:

....not disputing whether or not he was shot....you could well be right, Earl's next fight (if he doesn't retire) will tell us more

but on the issue of weight, Earl is a proper lightweight....Khan happens to be a very big one...he'll have that advantage over a lot of lightweights, they'll struggle to find many as big as himself

Khan has a bad case of the Ricky Hattons.

Winning involves him being the boss in there. As soon as the other guy has hit a groove, is fighting back and is throwing shots, its deep water time. And woe betide Amir gets hit clean.:eeeek: He can always boss smaller guys. Anybody with an ounce of savvy {a la Drilzane and Limond} will have him in difficulty. His chin, and the manner in which he presents it, are problems for him. So far, he has been facing relative nobdies. Even Thaxton lost to fucking Emmanuel Augustus like 7 years ago.

And dude, Earl is fucking shot. I promise you. I saw him before the fight...vacant arsed look about him.
