Clearly, an all time great. He's fucking brilliant. You also gotta love how he makes damn sure every opponent trains like a motherfucker. A lot of guys play nice guy, hoping the other guy takes it easy... Floyd? No. He pisses them off, motivates them like hell. They train their hardest for Floyd. I think he does that to push himself, to train even harder. 11 years undefeated. 2 years into his career and he fought the man in his division and beat the shit out of him. Fought the percieved toughest challenge in the division in his next fight. Put on a masterpiece against undefeated P4P entrant Diego Corrales, edged out Castillo in his first fight at 135, gave him a inmediate rematch like a true champ (He could've been a bitch about it) and beat him clearer next time out. Put on another masterpiece against Gatti... sure, it's Gatti, but he had a streak going in there. Hell, quite a few picked him to win... were they wrong. :: Judah, Baldomir, DLH, Hatton. He's got a damn good resume. Champ at 5 divisions. Now, he's really unlikeable, we all know that. You'll all continue to hate, you'll find a way. And this is no Floyd is the GOAT thread. No, he's not. He doesn't have the resume. He's top 30 though, an all time great and the best fighter of this era. Locked fighter of the decade IMO. Respect. :)
Yes. Floyd deserves his props. People were booing him before the fight, but definitely not afterward.:bears:
Cotto Williams Cintron Tszyu Margarito .....some of the guys he hasn't fought. Personally, of all those, I would love to see him fight WILLIAMS. Lets see how he deals with a height and reach disadvantage for once. But I will place a $1000 dollar bet with anyone here that the WILLIAMS fight NEVER HAPPENS.
Oh yeah, someone under 67 yoa and who is a full time fighter. Cheers. PS.....Oscar didn't have toooooo much reach on him.
Yeah.....you know, the guy that took Judahs 0 and KO'd Mitchell twice..??? Probably, alongside Chavez and El Intocable Locche, the greatest 140lbr of all time.
At 154 with every other possible advantage except age and well... skill. Very legit win. More so, considering you picked DLH to destroy Floyd. opcorn:
:: Tszyu hasn't fought in YEARS....Quit against Hatton...the same Hatton Mayweather handled... a Prime Tszyu couldn't beat Phillips..he wouldn't have a prayer against Mayweather....
He just smashed his daddy. But yeah, prime Tszyu was terrific. I'm just saying, no point in bringing him up considering Kostya got KO'ed by Hatton when Floyd came up in weight and just faced the guy who destroyed.
I'll keep saying; no such thing as a PART TIME FIGHTER. You didn't see Jersey Joe Walcott doing promos when Rocky iced him, And, if he had been, you could have called that an easy win for Rocky too. If you said Oscar had a good fight against Floyd, I'd say you were bragging. But if you told me Floyd fought the real Oscar, I'd say you were lying.
PBF did have a great fight. With all of the skills AND resilience, hes definately one of the best ever. Even though I knew he would beat Hatton, they both had a great fight. Props
Tszyu today..Tszyu of yesterday..Tszyu in his Prime against Phillips...don't make no difference..Pretty Boy will move..jab..stay away with the jab..land one or two nice lead right hands...and win a decision...
not only that...but... "Mayweather dominated Tszyu" -LOK..even though the fight was 7-5..8-4 "Tszyu keeps on holding Mayweather and headbutting him, do something ref, DQ that ponytale fag ref" -rjp4p :eeeek:
illuminati you teenybopper.......of the last 5 years, Tszyu is the guy who'd have the best shot at beating Mayweather :nono:
Yeah....primarily because of that one weapon he has, the one weapon that Judah laughed at and which he used to devestating effect against Judah.......that range finder jab. Its to Tszyu what whiskers are to a cat.
Well Hatton made Tszyu quit in the last 5 years.....so yes he has a good shot at beating Mayweather...
Williams and Mayweather have the same management so yeah, that fight ain't happening. Furthermore, Mayweather's handlers have made overtures to the effect of keeping him away from the "bigger" welters. Can't say I blame him--Williams would be his Antonio Tarver.
