Paulie says on BT interview that he thinks Hatton is garbage, and he can take him. Does anyone agree with him?

BTW - Paulie seems to be a huge fan of Floyd. He claimed in one interview last week that Floyd is possibly the G.O.AT.

 NO...in all counts...but Malignaggi is tough enough..and elusive enough to win a few rounds..esp. late..

Agreed. And I dont see Hatton stopping him either. If he could survive all the punishment Cotto dished out, Ricky aint taking him out. It'd be a tough fight for Hatton IMO.

I slept on Paulie for many years and called him a fraud, but he's not. He's a actually a very good boxer when you get past his lack of power. A good enough boxer to outbox Hatton in several rounds.

Yes, Paulie can beat Hatton. I think he'll win a decision if they fight.

If Floyd carries on and beats Cotto and arguably one of Williams/Cintron/Margarito...then he has a claim.

(Correct..Malignaggi-Hatton is of no interest to me, just the claim about Floyd  )

If Hatton loses to that poser, he should retire from boxing, and Mayweather should get no credit for knocking him out.

Hatton would have no problems with Malignaggi and he'd be a good pre-fight before Witter.

Paulie beats Witter too IMO. They should fight. Paulie is boring but the kid is the best boxer at 140.

I wasn't even thinking about Holt. I was racking my mind just to think of 140lb fighters.

Holt Maidana Hatton Witter all better than Malig.

And there's several on his level that I'd pick over him, as well.

I'd pick Malinaggi over Witter without a 2nd thought and would back it with money. Witter isn't knocking Malinaggi out and Malinaggi can actually throw a lot of punches for 12 full rounds unlike Witter. Witter hits harder but that's his only clear advantage. Holt? Didn't that guy get ko'ed in his last fight. Stylewise though that would be a tough fight for Paulie.

Which is why I said it's a tough style. It don't matter anyways, it's not like the 2 would fight.

I don't think much of Holt. I think Paulie schools him, and Torres too.

Malignaggi has a very good chance of beating Hatton, actually.

    Styles.

He'd be quite a live opponent.

    Peace.

Exactly. Styles. He is quick and elusive enough to give Hatton fits, he's tough too and won't go out like a pansy ala Castillo.

If Joe Cortez isn't involved, and if Paulie doesn't develop an insane inside game overnight, then, yes, Paulie is just about fucked if he fights Hatton.

Hatton's not a great inside fighter. Holy fuck Hatton and Malinaggi might dry hump each other on the inside.

I don't get the "Paulie is boring" thing.

He circles well, and he throws volume. Just because he tries to keep everything on the outside, doesn't indicate he's boring.

    I'd like to see a Hatton-Malinaggi fight if Hatton-Witter doesn't happen.
