    Don't miscontextualize me! :nono:

I think Floyd should fight Cotto, first and foremost. Then...if he wants to go out with a bang..fight Pavlik.

It may seem like suicide, but guess what: high risk...HIGH REWARD!!!!!!

    What's the risk?

First defeat and by crushing KO!

    WHat's the reward?

    GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!! :bears:

I do apologize for not following all the minor belts out there. But are you seriously saying you can distinguish between, say, WBU and WBO titleholder?

The WBO isn't a minor belt.

You don't need to apologize, you just need to learn more about the sport.

Since the other sanctioning bodies quit ranking their champs.

So, you trust the sanctioning bodies? So, Manny Packqiao is not THE man to beat at 130, despite the fact that he doesn't hold any major belts?

You don't seem able to stay on point, mr dymipepel.

If you want to make money, Pacq is the guy at 130.

If you want to win a world title, he is not.

Oh, no, I'm just trying to understand your logic better.
So, you base your opinion that WBO is a meaningful sanctioning organization, based on the opinion of the other 3 sanctiong organizations?
In other words,, you respect the opinion of sanctioning organzations, yet it seems like their opinion hardly matters, since none of them consider Manny to be the champ at 130, despite the fact that he quite clearly is.

You discredit 4 sanctioning bodies because none of them recognize the fighter you think should be considered the world champ?

Do you generally discredit 3 of them in the other weight classes?

Does your opinion 'hardly matter' if you get a fight pick wrong?

I don't discredit anyone, just trying to clarify your stance on things...:dunno:

Not at all, I respect 3 major sanctioning organiations, and despise pretenders, like WBU, WBB, WBO, etc...

Well, if one picks against PBF, yes, one's opinion hardly matters.

So now your turn. Why shouldn't the WBO be seen as an equal to the other 3? You've determined that Manny Pacquiao isn't the answer.

Simply because every 2-bit organization shouldn't be taken seriously :dunno:

Why is the WBO 2-bit compared to the other 3?

When did you view the IBF as equal to the other 2? And why?

I remember them having Darrin Morris listed but that was about 6 or 7 years ago, did it happen again?

And you said people when you mean person and used there when you mean their.

    Mistakes happen. Big deal.

Ranked fighters don't check in monthly to prove they are alive.

Short-sighted. But, for whatever it's worth, I would agree that the WBO heavy belt was the 4th best until fairly recently. ALL other belts have been the equal of the other 3 for 10 years, at least.

Then Lamon Brewster sealed it for the WBO a few years ago for you?

Or Bowe when he beat Hide and was considered #1?

Or Morrison beating Foreman who later beat Moorer?

Not just Bowe...I think the shift came when the WBO had champions like DLH, Hamed, Calzaghe, Freitas, Tapia and Barrera.

The status of the WBO rose because of the status of it's champions.

I can remember when HBO didn't recognize the WBO, but HBO (along with the scandals - like the Foreman-Shulz debacle - and news outlets like ESPN especially with Kellerman/Kenny) helped render the belts pretty much irrelevent (in large part, at least to fights on their air) plus the arrival of even more belts (to the point where you can get any organization to sanction a 12 round "title" fight) that I think it's brought the credibility of the other three organizations down to around where the WBO was...moreso than the WBO growing to the stature of the WBA/WBC/IBF.
