...and..."there is no Middlweight on the Planet can live with Andy Lee".

Now...if this was a promoter, manager, other fighter, I would dismiss it.

But Manny says it, so, even if its just a little bit bullshit, there has to be some truth.

Lee was pretty competent tonight against a much more experienced opponent. But Lee might have grief with cuts.

    I guess time will tell.

Still its funny to see Manny on Irish TV in an Irish top telling the world that Pavlik ain't shit.

And then after Lee beats Pavlik, maybe he'll be ready for Manny's p4p charge...

    Octavio Lara!!!

Not to say that I dismiss Lee's chances. He seems quite capable so far.

He is....and Manny is being quite bullish. I do take it all with a bit of salt, but Manny must know something we don't.

    Yup.

He knows people will show interest in anything said on television, even if only for 30 seconds. So say whatever you want, and something will stick.

That's why he's become a master of changing everything he "predicts" during HBO shows; he is aware that most people will hang onto the very last fragment.

If Lee is good, it's not because Steward says so.

I wasn´t impressed by Lee at all tonight. Looked like he had a bit of Wladimir disease. After he couldn´t get rid of his opponent early, he wasn´t really comfortable.

Manny begrudges Pavlik because he destroyed his fighter. Taylor's exposire probably was what guaranteed Taylor getting another trainer as well. Manny is talking out of his second mouth on this one. He my feel that Palik can be exposed but the fact is that Pavlik has not been exposed yet and Taylor has for a long time looked ready for the taking.

I've been rooting for Andy Lee ever since I saw him beat up on Spyda from And1.

Kids a beast, though. Too bad they don't show him on TV that much.

Lee is a good prospect, but Pavlik is a good champion.
    Major difference there.
Manny is one of my favorite folks in boxing, and a real gentleman as well, I really admire him but I don't see that happening.
I may be wrong, but Kelly would exploit Lee's openings, IMO and knock him out.

I thought he looked a bit ragged in the 3-5th, granted the other guy just wanted to survive and wasn't going to let Lee have many countering opportunities, but yeah, I thought this was the worst I'd seen of Lee...I'd like to see him in against another good prospect like Lorenzo

Andy had that Jamie Carragher look alright, but he had a bit of a cut and the other guy was spoiling a lot, pulling down on the head and what have you, and Andy probably didnt do 10 miles of roadwork per day for this scrub either.

The And1 guys stopped by Kronk during their tour a few years back. Spyda (the new guy at the time) laced em up against Andy. Andy went pretty easy on him, but Spyda caught him with a decent shot so Andy flurried until Spyda quit.

he was a basketball player not good enough for the NBA, or any other pro league, so he joined the And1 thing, where a bunch of guys go around and do flashy dunks and such things. They even have a white hillbilly in their ranks.

Yeah, I remember the Lara hype...it lasted until about his first televised fight.

I've seen some good and bad from Lee, but he's definitely not just a hype-job.

Andy Lee is solid but nothing special. Decent boxer but Pavlik and some other guys would fuck him up. Emmanuel is getting far to carried away.

Which is about all he's been for the past half dozen or so fights.
