No one, he should fuck off and retire, I have no interest in seeing him use his future boxing career as a trading piece in order to secure more slots on HBO as a promoter.

    Retire.

The Cotto and Margirito fights are eminently winnable, and so is the Mayweather fight if he is sharp and ring ready, which he would be if its his third fight in 9 months. If he's gonna fight once a year then he SHOULD just fuck off and retire.:eek:ld:

wow you sure do have a lot of faith in a guy who wasn't won a meaningful fight in damn near 6 years.

margarito and cotto would both beat the fuck out of delahoya.

If he would have defeated Floyd i would have interest in seeing him one more time.

I don't see any relevant fight for him at this point.

    Oscar should hang them up.

Mayweather would definitely be interested in fighting Oscar again for another huge payday.

I don't think De La Hoya has any plans to go back to middleweight, so scratch out Pavlik and Taylor. I don't think he would want to fight Spinks, boring style, Don King fighter.

I think DLH-Cotto will take place in May 08'.

Margarito has never beaten anyone like Oscar. IMO that would be a UD for Dela... The Cotto fight would be interesting.

not interested..? Money only cares about the money....he has made that obvious..by getting a raincheck on fight against Cotto, Williams, Mosley, Margarito or any other top Welter...

but GBP and HBO will have to live with only getting 1.5 million ppv buys this time around....:shit::shit::shit: GOD I HOPE THEY DON'T REMATCH>..

At 154...Vernon Forrest (because he won't fight Dzinziruk or Alcine and I have no interest in Spinks).

At 147...Kermit Cintron (because he probably isn't fighting Mayweather, he wouldn't fight Williams, and I'd rather see Cotto-Margarito than either against ODLH).

Oscar tends to only fight near the Mexican holidays in May and September.

I would like to see Cotto/DLH

I want to see if Cotto can KO Oscar, since the Hopkins body shot was bullshit. Cotto would be the first to stop Oscar.

I agree Oscar is past his prime but He is not shot either. He is still pretty competitive with the elite fighters.

Just beating him doesn't mean much anymore but if Cotto stopped him that would show something.

I agree Oscar is past his best but he can still mix it with the top guys...all the money lovers out there remember that was a SD a close fight no matter what way you look at it.

I think the biggest challenge to Oscar would be Cotta, I think Dela would stop all most all other welters...

Oscar dont want it with Forrest. Never has, never will. If ever there was a guy that DLH wanted no parts of, its Forrest.

Unbelievable how boxing fans get all excited about their favorite fighters' personal finances. Do you order a round of pints when Sami Hyppia gets a one year extension on his contract, or if jamie carragher goes from earning 85k a week to 90k?

I have no interest in watching Oscar fight again, I don't know where he fits at 154 and he obviouly has no interest in campaigning at that weight or any other

Did you not imply in this post that i'm hating on oscar because he's a big box office draw and still gets huge paydays? Certainly reads like that to me.

YES that is exactly what I meant, and you replied

"Unbelievable how boxing fans get all excited about their favorite fighters' personal finances. Do you order a round of pints when Sami Hyppia gets a one year extension on his contract, or if jamie carragher goes from earning 85k a week to 90k?"

I dont get excited nor do care about Oscars wealth, you brought up the Golden Boy Promotions.

I agree, DLH isn't fighting Forrest...and he isn't fighting Wright.

Yeah. Although Wright is a bigger name now than a few years ago, Oscar can still make more money in more winnable fights against smaller opponents.

As for Forrest, again, too much risk for too little reward.
