I was talking boxing the other day with some cats, and there was this one dude from Philly, who just butted into the conversation. Anyway, he was telling me that Zab Judah fought Cotto the wrong way and the only reason why Cotto had won was because of the low blows. Fair enough. The more he talks, the more he sounds like he's trying to fit in. So, knowing that he was from Philly, I brought up B-Hop and Calzaghe. This dude just igged me on that and kept running his mouth with everyone else. Just as I was about to ask the question again, he mentioned that white America got what they wanted by having all of their heavyweight champions being white (It does not matter that they are all non-Americans). And then, the omnicient idiot came with the blast of all blasts; "The fight that the white people really want to see is Kelly Pavolik and Ricky Hatton"!!! Then he goes on to say that he "THINKS" that Pavolik might have an edge!!! I'll leave it like that and leave whatever up to you guys.....:dunno:
i've gotten more stupid questions like, who'd win between mayweather vs. klitschko. when tarver beat roy the first time, one guy asked me who'd win between tarver and de la hoya
thats nothing, SUNDAY MORNING my neighbor talked about watching Jcc Jr a few weeks ago fight and said I hope he fights Tito next he's gonna be a great champion like his dad. Then he says Mayweather should move up to 160 if he's so bored with boxing, he starts to laugh out loud he get his ass kicked then! So i didn't answer back i grabbed MY FUCKING SHOVEL AND SLAMMED MY SCREEN DOOR AND SAID TO MYSELF WHAT A FUCKING FUCK HE IS. I AINT GIVING HIM NO ROCK SALT STUPID ASS.:flip:
there's this dude who supposedly watches boxing and continues to call floyd, floyd mayFIELD. i've told him several times, it's mayWEATHER yet he still insists on calling him Mayfield. ::
In school people used to ask me when Hamed was fighting De La Hoya, or if they had already fought and who had won. :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:
You should have told them that they did fight but it was in a closed session with no media or fans allowed. Nobody knows who won, and it's open to much debate among boxing fans.
...and that Hamed has since retired and has taken to street racing and was working for McClaren as a test driver. Wait a minute thats actually true.
Still the most common awkward question from people who don't follow boxing and know that you do: "So.........ah.............so, what do you think about that Mike Tyson.":doh:
