I can’t believe what I'm reading here. Have people forgot that RJ was been put the fuck to sleep literally by fighters not in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:place>Trinidad</st1:place>'s league? RJ is a great fighter but come on now, Tito is also a great fighter and there is reason to believe he has more in the tank now then RJ. Too much being put into play regarding Tito's last performances.

both tarver and glen johnson would've beaten tito's ass and knocked him out silly.

tito hasn't done shit at 175 and hasn't done much at 160 since knocking out joppy.

I agree that Tito has done nothing @175 but he is a far greater fighter then both Johnson and Tarver. Tito's loses have come to GREAT fighters. Not C class fighters.:nono:

jones got KOed by top light heavyweights at the time. tito might be greater than both tarver and johnson, but not at this stage.

tito couldnt win a single minute of a round vs. winky and got shot down badly. that was at 160 and about 2 and half years ago. jones has had 2 fights since losing and should be the bigger guy at 170.

    Lets look at the facts.

Titos last fight was May 2005 and he lost every round. That fight was at 160.
    Roy is bigger.
    Roy is faster.
    Roy is stronger.
Roy is a bigger puncher at 170.
    Roy has better defence.
Roys last fight was July this year and he won, so obviously he has more confidence.
Tito is fighting at a weight he doesn't belong at.

Thats not hating or nuthugging. Thats just using logic and telling it like it is.

my only concern is how roy will be able to make 170 and not be drained on the fight night. this is tito's best chance to capitalize on. other than that, he virtually has zero shot at defeating jones.

You forgot 1 major FACTOR! RJ has a shit chin and when Tito lands the vaunted left hook the fight will be over! :bears: Also consider RJ must come down to 170.

His chin is bad. Thats why he is going after smaller guys to protect it. Who knows if Tito has power at 170. Roy has been in with big 175lbrs and a heavyweight. Tito may not hit hard compared to them guys.

Keep in mind that Roy has KO's at 168 and 175 so he should have the power advantage in this fight. Remember also that Tito has been dropped and badly hurt as low as 147.

OK keep telling yourself this. Try not to cry too hard when Tito gets humiliated on January 19 because he is too inactive and too small.

even if tito somehow manages to win, he won't have much leverage on any of the possible big fights out there.

would tito settle for anything less than parity against hopkins? i doubt hopkins would let that fight happen at 50/50.

unless he wants to get his head knocked off by pavlik, tito should call it quits after the jones payday.

I say Tito (not meaning he is going to beat Roy) but , If I ever had to pick who is more likely to make a better comeback , it would be Tito.

IMO Roy can't take shots. Once a fighter can't take shots , its over ...
Tito can still take a punch as far as we know ..

I agree. And thus far it's a fact that Tito has been able to take better shots at higher weight classes compared to when he was @ 147.

Being able to take shots doesn't mean Tito will have any success.

    Let's look at the facts:

Tito's 2 loses came from guys who:

    1. Had a very good jab
    2. Had good movement
    3. Fought a perfect fight
Roy Jones dosent move like he used to. And he dosent have a good jab. :bears:

Roy does have a good jab, he just doesn't use it like he should.

No but still being able to take shots is an important factor.
These days everytime Jones gets hit , he has this strange look on his face like he wants to go down ...

 You act like "potshotting" is a bad thing. It takes a certain skill to do it....fast reflexes combined with handspeed and good movement. Don't think for a second that Tito would try it...if he was able! :tease:

He probably would but why pot shot when you can BOMBSHOT and get a more decisive result and not get booed.
