how much does this website make a month :dunno: how the hell do you make money from a website anyway...there are adds, but i never pay any attention to them at all, let alone actually click on them
how much does this website make? :dunno: if someone bought it would they be looking at a 10-20 year ROI?
:: Damn that's a lot of money. But regardless, YouTube is f*cking fantastic!!!! I watch all these old wrestling videos from decades back which I saw as a kid. You can find almost anything on there. Awesome site! People all over the world post their stuff!
I suggest you search for "Stan Hansen" written in katakana. I forgot what it is, but Stan Hansen is teh awesomeness.
ハンセン. Stan Hansen is teh awesomeness. He was blind as a bat, so he never took any chances when throwing his finishing move, the Lariat. Really stiff wrestlers, like Kawada, Misawa, Big Bubba (in his short AJPW tenure) and Vader had their heads taken off.
Great to see from my PM inbox this evening that there's a lot of interest out there. Basically, I'd love to partner up with three or four people and get this thing going. I have a background in journalism and broadcast, so I can help there. What I'd love to have in a partner is someone who is savvy with website upkeep. Also, someone who can take care of the business end of things (adds, sponsors, any additional revenue, etc..) And, ideally, a perfect partner would be one with good connections in the boxing game, and experience covering boxing. I'd like to try to come up with an offer for Carlos sometime in the next week or so. Please get in touch with me if you're interested... I'll respond to all PM's, or feel free to e-mail at abrown567@hotmail.com Cheers guys. Andrew
Perhaps Cupey can stay as a shareholder and occasionally do something? He can hold 20% of the shares and sell the rest.
That site values google.com at $ 334,000,000 :: The google stocks are worth nearly $50 bilion right now.
yeah, that would mean that we are worth more hahahahahaha. I have to reasonable offers at the moment.
Read all six pages and this pretty much hits it on the head. As for coming on the boards to offer it for sale...I mean, not trying to hurt your feelings, but that's kindsa weak. If you are truly serious about selling, and the site was accomplished/recognized, you'd be shopping it to the right people...and not just floating it out there as message board fodder. Again, I know this place has a loyal and active board, and for that I dig it. This just seems like kind of a weak ploy. Almost like trying to pass it off on some sucker who might accidentally bite...especially when you just come out with, "Well, I won;'t tell you how much I want, make me an offer" to a bunch of guys that could never have an idea what kind of bid is ballpark. You want a real bid? Present some figures that this entity generates. Anybody selling any kidn of business...restaurant, bar, etc., when they put it up for sale with a price tag, they do so with solid revenue generating numbers attached to justify their asking price. They don't just come out and say "make us an offer" without giving any kind of idea what something like that would be worth. This thread makes no sense to me... Anyway. I hope this is a joke, and if not, ope your health issues are nothing life threatening or 'game changing'. I have always dug the enthusiasm and passion for the sport that this spot possessed/possesses. BTW - Maxboxing wasn't bought for much more than that. Maxboxing was created. It's probablyt worth a nice little chunk of change, but those boys didn't buy their way into the game...the put their time in.
Agreed. For all the effort Cupey has made to maintain this website, it's odd that he's just ready to toss it all away to some random message board member for a few bucks. This is the same Cupey who came on here weekly telling us how huge FightBeat was becoming based on some website traffic numbers in comparison to other sites. He needs to shop this site as you said to some real people who have a clue. People who would dig the traffic this site gets. Either way, it's Cupey's decision.
I'm happy to say that I am very close to a deal with some good people. I will give more details as we get closer. But so far everone seems happy with the terms of the agreement. Cupey
