Please explain , I want to hear how Dela is Mosely's leftover in the same way Judah is Zoo's leftover ...
Tszyu and Baldomir made Judah much more of a leftover than Mayweather did. Frankly, this discussion doesn't interest me much, though if you want to know my opinion of Oscar de la Hoya it's that he was never the same fighter (mentally) after the first Mosley fight (which was the first time in his career he was beaten clearly in the ring). He took an extended leave from the ring and came back against a carefully selected opponent (Gatti) and then moved up to 154 to fight for a run of the mill title (against Castillejo) because his daddy was still the champion at 147.
You know , its hard to knock him for that considering that he did rematch Mosely and most people thought he won the rematch ... IMO it would just be complete hate to consider DLH a Mosely leftover or Mosely as his daddy. I'm sure Mosely wasn't thinking that when his mouthpiece flew across the ring.
The rematch came three years and seven pounds later. IMO, Mosley never belonged at 154 to begin with (and the only real validation of his time there, IMO, was the questionable win over DLH...Vargas was truly leftovers when he beat him)...and much like the first fight, many considered him to be too far above his best weight going into the fight.
I truely believe your hero should have 7 losses on his ledger. to top it off I'm 4-1 betting against him, and have won thousands of dollars.
IMO, De La Hoya should have losses to: Quartey Mosley (first fight) Sturm Hopkins Mayweather And coming up, hopefully, Cotto.
He's not my hero ... Actually I used to hate the guy and used to make threads bashing him ... You are simply just a little boy & a fuckin moron as you have proved to be over and over again ...
My list is the same as yours except swap Quartey with Whitaker. I thought he beat Quartey by a point.
This fight is a massacure. Vicky can't out fight Cotto inside and he can't fight him from the outside. Its just a case of what round does Miguel KO Vicky.
I'll play. Here are the fighters I thought clearly beat De la Hoya: Shane Mosley I Shane Mosley II Felix Sturm Bernard Hopkins Floyd Mayweather Here are the fighters that I wouldn't have minded if they'd gotten the decision: John John Molina Pernell Whitaker Ike Quartey Here are the fighters that shouldn't have gotten wins over De la Hoya in any way: Everyone else, including Felix Trinidad Five losses seems about right to me.
You must be the one retard here that voted for Hatton .. You know , gotta hug those PBF balls .. Can't allow anyone to think that someone else might be able to beat Hatton even worse ... ::
Molina? When you say you "wouldn't have minded him getting the decision" do you mean the because of some other factors, or do you actually think a rational case could be made for him winning?
A lot of people did see him winning that fight. Obviously, Oscar had tons of trouble with Molina, and he was used to his fights being over early. His defense wasn't that good at all in that fight, and a few people did score it for him.
I thought the fight between Molina & DLH was actually very close, Molina did some beautiful countering that night. If not for that BS knockdown it should have been close but back then EVERYONE WAS ON DLH NUTS.
100% correct- Hatton beats absolutely ZERO elite fighters at 147. Agreed that the fight would have been interesting at 140, though...
I don't know about beating him worse but aint nothin like having that 0 snatched. cotto will find out about that soon enough.
Close, or close enough that you could make an argument that Molina won? Which 7 rounds did he win? (we'll even take away the knockdown)
