    Yeah, he talked about winning tournaments when he was in middle school and taking his trophies to school later on.

    He said he became bored with boxing and preferred robbing people instead.

    I think his record was 95-4.

    This is true, he was brought up in a gym. But turning pro after only four amatuer fights at the age of 26 is pretty impressive.

    Mundine was a world-class athlete before he started boxing. Most fighters have to spend years getting in shape.

    Rocky Marciano boxed in the Army, but lost to Coley Wallace in the US Nationals.
    James "Bonecrusher" Smith comes to mind as far as a late starter goes.
