I'll break it down for ya ,how it went down.

Both fighters in the ring Fedor gets huge ovation from japanese crowd. The bell rings Fedor goes for takedown,Choi ends up falling on top of him getting top mount.Fedor goes for armbar Choi gets out and while there getting up Choi lands 3 or 4 blows that marked Fedors face up,there both on there feet,Fedor lands a left hook and goes for another takedown.Choi ends up falling on Fedor again and gets top mount. He starts raining down punches on Fedor and landing ,Fedor goes for another armbar.Choi taps out fight over.Fedor whens ....shocker lol

As for the Show, the stadium was PACKED(I'm guessing 30,000 +)and the production resembled.....PRIDE lol all the way down to the crazy woman announcing the fight.

    MACH Sakurai vs Hidehiko Hasigawa

MACH looked sharp in this fight ,Hasigawa was game enough to make it fun to watch but Sakurai was just better in all area's of MMA.Mach wins a unanimous decision.

Here's the fight on Youtube...it's crappy quality.

    <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/kGeffq4ZHhA&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/kGeffq4ZHhA&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

So Choi had size, and that's it. Could he have offered his arm anymore?

    This was a joke.

Yeah but very few Heavyweights can pull off an armbar from the bottom the way Fedor done it(except Nogeira) against a 7'2 365 pound man. Most heavyweight fighters would be crapping there pants in that position. What if saaaay couture, sylvia, arlovski ,Cro Cop was in that position against Choi who has a reach, weight and strength advantage?

I think Choi has waaaaaay more potential in MMA than he does with Kickboxing(size, strength, reach advantage). If he can get some experience under his belt he can be a bitch to deal with.

Damn! That first armbar Fedor locked in was sick. Seriously, that sh*t was locked as tight as a motherf*cker and Choi escaped through his brute strength. Second time, not so lucky.

Because Fedor is a judoka, he goes for the waist area when applying takedowns. In this case, he should've tried going for the legs. Hong Man was far too big and strong to be controlled and thrown through the upper body.

I think Fedor just wanted it on the ground whether he was on top or not, either way he had the advantage down there.

Well I doubt he wanted it with Choi on top because that's a lot of mass to deal with. Fedor looked like he attempted to put Choi on his back and work from there either through sub or gnp. Either way, a good fighter should know how to work from any area. Something 99% of fighters can't do, especially wrestlers like Matt Hughes. It's like a fish out of water, despite all the years of training they do.

Tim Sylvia got caught in the exact same move by Mir and had his arm snapped.

It's crazy how Fedor had the first armbar in and was hanging from Choi's arm. If Choi had some skills he'd give a lot of fighters hell just because of his size.

Choi actually trains hard as you can see by his physique, he's not just some big fat idiot. Dude trains in K1 and looks like he can improve for MMA. I'd love to see how Randy Couture would deal with this guy's size and strength.

I watched it again and on the second takedown when choi was on his knees Fedor tried turning him to get on top but no go....I didn't expect Choi to be this freaking strong man

What do you mean, Grave? Look at the size of this human being and you can see he's got a tremendous physique and he bodybuilds. Just imagine if you clinched with a person who was more than a foot shorter than you and about 120lbs lighter. You think the little man will have an easy time overpowering you in a clinch just based on the differential in body size/mass alone?

WHat grave says is true Hanzy.

There have been other big guys who were nowhere near as strong as the CHoi man.

Just because you're big doesn't mean you're strong.

I wonder if Choi's strategy was to just fall on Fedor and smother him. Then try to gas him and finish him it on their feet.

Hughes actually had an active guard against GSP in the last fight, just so happens that GSP had some even better control from the top.....Hughes isnt nearly as helpless from his back as most guys who come from wrestling backgrounds are

I don't deny that at all. But Hong Man is a 27 year old kid. Giant Silva is in his 40s and is one of those pituatary gland giants. Hong Man is a superior athlete. He's not yet quite the stiff I imagine he'll be when he's about 15 years older and suffering from chronic knee problems and all sorts of other physical injuries that are a norm with huge men.

True. GSP is just another level of fighter altogether when he's on his game. Matt just got worked badly. Still a good fighter though. I wonder what he'll do next. Think he'll retire from competing?

Smother him? Watch how many clean punches Choi landed on Fedor's face in his guard and look at the brusing on Fedor. Choi with some serious mma training could be tough to beat.

I think Hong Man is exceptionally strong but that's a given by his appearance. That first armbar would've snapped the arm of any other fighter with the way Fedor had it locked. That was tight as hell!:eeeek:

If Fedor had the size of Choi, he would be completely unbeatable.

Everyone can be beat, and everyone is beaten eventually. Choi is a circus act though.
