Light-Heavyweight contender Shaun George wants what every self-respecting pugilist craves: The most challenging assignments available. With Chad Dawson preoccupied with Glen Johnson, Adrian Diaconu has no engagements booked in the meantime. Shaun George says, "Why not give the people something to remember?" http://fightbeat.com/news_details.php?NW=20969
Contender? I have seen this press release last summer, or one just like it. Whoever wrote it dosen't even know who Chris' new manager or trainer is.
I'm not associated with Chris any longer, but he and I are still cool, though. Chris went through some sweeping changes, and I wish him all the best. He is being trained by Ronnie Shields now, but hasn't fought since August, which is not good. Chris is the type of kid that is at his best when he is active and sharp.
Sometimes you have to be careful what you pray for. If there is one guy in LHW division that can walk it; it's Adrian Diaconu. I was in camp with him this Sept. and he's throw back! I'm not saying he's unbeatable, but he's nooooo easy win. If you fight this guy he will take about five years off your life. You may get the "W" but there is a price to pay. I would be willing to say that if the Dawson fight doesn't come off S.G. just went to the top of The Sharks list. Right in front of 3 O.G. for runing my mouth when I was in the Interbox camp. On another note if you know S.G. you know he is a very gifted fighter! I'm just saying go after Chris Henry or an long tooth Glen Johnson first!!
