Its gonna be on the same night as when the REAL best light heavyweight(Dawson) fights. In any case, Joe will whup old man Hopkins' ass at this point.

I can see BHop losing a decision, just because Calzaghe has a high work rate.

I can see Calzaghe going into a shell after a few well placed counters by Hopkins too.

I'd like to see this one, but I seriously doubt it ends in a KO. that would be shocking.

With all due respect that is total bollox, Joe took some sick shot from Kessler and still:eeeek: came after him.

    Hopkins is getting stopped.

Couple of things people need to take into account.

    1. Hopkins vast experience.

    2.Hopkins size

    3. Hopkins cuteness and intelligence.

I don't think he will be stopped. I think he should lose, but get stopped. Nah.

If Kessler's counters couldnt put Calz into a shell, than B-Hop's counters sure as hell wont discourage him. Kessler hits harder than Hopkins, and at this point has faster hands as well. The one thing Hopkins DOES however have over Kessler is his extreme ring intelligence, but that alone wont be enough to beat Joe. Father time will stop Hopkins from beating Joe.

I think Hopkins is still able to find a way to make it an interesting and perhaps even close fight, but i don't think he can win anymore. Hopkins is a phenomenom, but Calzaghe is p4p #1

People forget how sharp hops looked against tarver and winky. Joe C is in for a loss, and a boxing lesson...and I'm a fan of Calzaghe

Hopkins didn't look sharp against Winky. He looked anything but that and thats not just about what Winky did.

Hopkins managed to beat Wright - that in and of itself was impressive. But I agree that the fashion in which he did so was less than impressive.

However, nobody, even those who have beaten Wright, have looked good doing so - the guy is a really good fighter. Look what he did to Tito.

What's encouraging is that Hopkins showed in that fight he's willing to look like complete shit and fight like a total stinker if that's what's required to win. It's not an admirable trait on his part, but for me, I'd rather see Sloppy lose.
