I'm really glad it was this low.

The heavyweight purse bids are obscenely high sometimes.

Remember the Ray Austin/Ibragimov one where it was over 2 million dollars???? WTF!!!

What's the "final elimination" referring to?

Why would this make you really glad?

This is a good fight. One of the few heavyweight fights on the horizon that I'm looking forward too.

I think it means it is the WBC's final chance to keep Gomez from getting a long-deserved title shot.

Also bid on today and then retracted, was a Casamayor/Santa Cruz rematch.

GBP didn't bid and another promoter withdrew his(probably because GBP paid them not to). It was a mandatory rematch purse bid and now that it's not bid on, it probably won't happen.

Santa Cruz gets robbed and "Oldel" Casamayor gets to continue wear the strap that he doesn't deserve and probably get a better payday unlike Santa Cruz.

    :flip: GBP

    Come on.

Even if you really think they are overpaid (which they aren't), you should be happy that a boxer is actually getting overpaid for a change.

So you think that Ray Austin/Ibragimov is worth 2 million dollars? For 2 million dollars you could have a stacked card of lower weight fighters.

Do you get 'really glad' over a drought in Florida that hurts orange farmers because you think corn farmers in Iowa are overpaid?

I think it was 800,000....which was still way too much.

There was one around that time for an eliminator that I know was over 2 million dollars. Maybe I have the wrong fight, but I thought it was Austin/Ibragimov.
