not to mention hatton refused to face mayweather at 140 when they were both in that division.

I agree with this, save the part about Williams-Marg possibly being a draw. But to me, Williams is a good, not great fighter who gets by on physical attributes and insane stamina. However, I don't think that will be enough to propel him to victory against elite level fighters or skilled technicians. When I think of Williams, I think of a fighter with insane height and reach advantages over most opponents. Yet, both negated by his propensity for regularly fighting on the inside. A fighter who throws a hundred punches per round. Yet, hardly any of them are thrown with any real conviction. As Manny Steward pointed out, his gloves aren't even fully closed when he throws punches. A fighter who fights with his chin straight up in the air, and who has a bad habit of keeping his lead hand low. This is why I expect Carlos Quintana to make him look rather ordindary, considering.

Well, if the champs at 147 don't call each other out there'll never be a real champ there as Mayweather doesn't seem interested at all in unifying. I'd love to see a unified champ at 147 personnally. As far as I'm concerned there's no real champ at 147 right now. The one with the biggest claim is Floyd but he 's retired unless DLH calls him out or one of the big fish at 147 garantees him a 10 million pay day, wich is highly unlikely, even in the case of Cotto.

10 million isn't enough. he's going to get 30 million for his next fight.

are you claiming mayweather would not be guaranteed 10 million to face cotto? have you been paying attention lately?

Well, I guess you're right, I might be underestimating both guys drawing power... But anyways my point remains, Floyd isn't interested in these type of bouts anymore. He wants to milk what remains of his career as much as possible. DLH is his cash cow... Hell, and I know that sounds pretty cynical, I could see a controversial DLH fixed victory just to set up a rubbermatch...

I thought P-Dub fought very tall and very long against Margarito. It was that fight that convinced me he uses his advantages to the utmost. He even clinced a lot when Margs got too close. I'd give him a good chance against Cotto who would have to win by KO. Cotto would have to really go after P-Dubs body because I thought Margarito hurt him there a couple times.

This real champ shit is fucking hilarious.

1: You forgot 130, he sure as shit beat the champ there and defended against the biggest threats.

2: DLH had as much claim as any of the titlelist to be called the champ at 154. If he wasn't who was?

Before I start name-calling, do you want to reconsider this statement?

Hernandez= Real champ of the division.

Manfredy and Corrales= Biggest perceived threats in the division when he fought them.

Manfredy was considered a legit challenger. Max considered Corrales the biggest threat.

But nobody, and I mean nobody with any sense, would have rated Manfredy above Freitas and Casamayor, even at that time when neither was a champ. But after they became champs, they were without a doubt the biggest threats during Mayweather's reign, along with Corrales.

And 'real champ' Genaro was certainly not the best jr. lightweight, although he probably was the most legit champ.

    CURTIS COKES' Birthplace...
@ the Time, Genaro Hernandez & Arturo Gatti were Ranked 1 & 2 @ Jr. Lightweight, by a Pretty Good Margin...

Manfredy STOPPED Gatti (albeit @ 135), SCARED Prince Naseem AWAY from Campaigning @ 130 & was Regarded as NO WORSE than the 2nd Best Fighter N the Division...THEN, Floyd BEAT Genaro Hernandez...

NOBODY Expected Floyd & Manfredy to IMMEDIATELY Fight Each Other, but 6 Weeks or So AFTER Floyd-Genaro, that's EXACTLY what Transpired...

Ring Magazine Said PRIOR to Floyd-Manfredy that the WINNER of the Fight would Win "Fighter of the Year" for 1998...Floyd Won & the Rest is History...

Corrales WASN'T Even N the Picture when Floyd Whipped Manfredy...Him & Casa were Still N that Prospect Phase...

PERSPECTIVE is the Key...Sure, N HINDSIGHT, Manfredy COULDN'T Touch Chico or Casa, but @ the Time, Floyd COULDN'T have Faced a Tougher, more Highly Regarded Opponent than Angel Manfredy...

Again, they Fought like 6 Weeks AFTER Floyd Beat Genaro Hernandez...
