What R Some of those Fights that U Knew INSTANTLY what the Outcome would B, Could Make Absolutely NO CASE for the Other Guy Winning & then the Fight Played Out Basically as U Thought it Would???... A Fight that U DIDN'T Even Feel like BRAGGING on Being Right About Afterwards... REED has a Feeling Roy vs. Tito is Gonna Fall N 2 this Category, but Name some OTHERS... REED
Tito-Mayorga - Back when Mayorga had everyone fooled into thinking he was a big time puncher and giving him a chance againt Tito, I'd been saying since day one that he didn't stand a chance. I even also correctly predicted that he wouldn't even drop Tito. Oscar-Mayorga - Mayorga should have been exposed as a bum by this point but there were still some morons who thought he was good enough to beat an all time great. So sure of this one, that I took and won my first and only sig beat. Mosley beating Cotto. However I was wrong about that one. Never as sure of a fight as I was that one and being wrong about it. (I know it doesn't fit the thread, but even though I was wrong I was more sure of this one than even the first 2. My biggest error was Cotto wasn't what I thought he was.)
I suppose there's lots. For recent bouts: Marquez-Juarez A fight that was 95% likely to go the distance and you knew who was going to oubox who.
Hopkins vs Tito-I had no doubt Hopkins would outbox Tito. The stoppage surprised me. There should be an inverse of this thread too.
Tito wasn't knocked down. He was more like pushed down by Mayorga's clumsyness and even then it was only a glove that touched.
Chico-Freitas - Not only knew Freitas would get stopped but also knew Freitas power was overrated and that he would not drop Chico in a higher weight class. Got both things right. Only surprise was Chico fighting the dumbest match possible and almost losing by decision.
Roy-Tito certaily falls in that category. Mayweather-Gatti and Baldomir were foregone conclusions in my mind. Tyson-Lewis. I could add so many in fact... Most fights are easy to pick, it's not everyday that 2 evenly matched top fighters are in the ring together, most of the time, there's a very clear favourite.
Lewis-Tyson, I got exactly right, but I was too dissapointed to want to brag or feel the slightest bit happy that I actually got it on the mark. Plus it was an easy fight to pick.
Wright-Mosley I-II - Ditto that. Seeing Mosley have trouble with Marquez made me realize he'd have hella trouble with the divisions best. I went in hoping I'd be wrong.
Most Universum and Sauerland fights have a predictable outcome. Even if the Universum or Sauerland fighter has been knocked out, you still have to try hard to win:: Watch the final 20 seconds of this video http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=7398567599499571005&hl=nl</EMBED>
RJ-Tito is easy. It'll be a minor miracle if Tito wins. Tito-Mayorga was extremely easy to predict, and went exactly as expected. I remember laughing at the few fools who were picking Mayorga. Namely Esk who was SURE Mayorga was gonna destroy Tito.:: Pac-Morales III was easy as hell to predict. I cant believe anyone gave Erik a chance in that fight. I was very confident in my Mayweather-Hatton prediction. I knew Floyd was gonna stop Hook n Hold. I was also very confident in picking Pavlik to ice Taylor, and I'm even MORE confident in Kelly icing him again next month.
Lewis - Rahman II Before the ref even finished counting out Lewis in the first fight I had zero doubt that Lewis would easily win the rematch in his very next fight. Taylor - Hopkins It wasn't a blowout by any means but I knew Hopkins would simply not beat the larger and higher workrate Taylor Judah - Spinks II Seeing how Zab mentally and physically scared, dominated, and humiliated Spinks over the final rounds of their first match, I knew he'd win as soon as the re was announced Not boxing but in MMA St.Pierre - Hughes II was a dead easy call (as was III but by then everyone knew what would happen). With GSP opening up at around +190, it goes without saying that I made good money on this fight
