They were consistently separated and Mayweather wasn't exactly out of his element on the inside...he used his elbows and free hands nicely.

Showing Vicky that if you wanna cheat you can have this elbow in your grill. Whenever they were fighting for real Mayweather whupped him inside and outside. Vicky couldn't land nothing on Money.

    Double,

Do you remember discussing this right after the first fight? I felt - and feel this way even more so now - that both fighters didn't put out because they expected a rematch.

    If this comes to fruition...

    This fight stinks.

    I want Mayweather-Cotto.

With Oscar around, that fight wasn't gonna happen this soon anyway. Both guys (Mayweather and Cotto) would most likely look Oscar's way before looking at each other.

Oscar's great for bringing casual fans to watch his fights, but for the matchups that hardcore fans want to see, it's better off that he just promote.

I am in the minority in that I thought the first fight was good!

People act as if these two were going to abandon all defense and swing for the fences!!! These guys are not that type of fighter. Floyd out boxed him impressively and IMO if they fought again he'd do it again

It was decent and enjoyable enough when it happened due the suspense/not knowing the result factor....but once is enough.

REED Knew EXACTLY how Floyd was Gonna Fight...REED's Problem is DeLa DIDN'T Look to IMPOSE his SIZE & STRENGTH on Floyd...

DeLa will LOSE a CHESSMATCH vs. Floyd 10 Out of 10 Times...To BEAT Floyd, DeLa's Gotta GAMBLE & TAKE Some Shots to LAND his Own...

REED Can Appreciate a "Boxing" Clinic as MUCH as a Toe-to-Toe SLUGFEST, but if Floyd-DeLa II is Gonna B ANOTHER Chessmatch, REED Doesn't Wanna Waste his Money on It...

    Exactly...

KNOWING the Outcome, it's a DIFFICULT Fight to REwatch...REED has YET to Make it PAST the 6th Round...

Kind of like Oscar did in the first Mosley fight. Hunch shoulders, keep coming forward, and to hell with the incoming.

I do find it funny the timing of this fight, right after Cotto-Mosley. I guess GBP was expecting Shane to fight Floyd next but when he loss they figured they could recoup with Oscar.

    Exactly...

REED has NO Doubts that Shane is a BETTER Puncher than Floyd & Back then, he was Just AS FAST, if Not FASTER...

So it PUZZLES REED that DeLa Would Fight Floyd as CAUTIOUSLY as he Did...Then Again, DeLa has Had a SHITLOAD of QUESTIONABLE Fightplans/Strategies During his Career...

I don't know if Oscar has it in him to take those sort of risks at this stage in his career.

It wasn't a complete stinker, but it has no re-watchability.

De la does need a tune up. He needs a win to get some confidence and kill some inactivity.

If Oscar does indeed fight a "tune-up" opponent i propose Cory Spinks.

Maybe Carlos Baldomir, Jesse Feliciano, Ishe Smith, or if the Miguel Cotto fight falls thru, Alfonso Gomez.

Hopefully DLH would lose the tune-up to abort the most unnecessary rematch since DLH-Chavez 2.
