’El Terrible’ announced his retirement from boxing following his punishing 12th-round stoppage defeat at the hands of David Diaz last August.

    :dunno:

Anyhow, Morales making a comeback is fairly predicatable. He loves the action. They'll look to get him a title shot against the weakest belt holder.

So, Barrera and Morales are both planning comebacks.

    Interesting.

Why not go at it for one more payday. I think Barrera stops him this time.

Morales never retired. He has been talking of a DAvid Diaz rematch for a while.

The problem is that ARum has kept Diaz available only for a future Pacquiao fight.

Too bad he can't quit. Morales can't be too many punches away from serious damage.

His legs looked terrible and he still should have got the decision.

Word is that Arum doesn't want to promote Morales because he doesn't want Erik to get hurt. I hope he doesn't go back on what he said.

Even if Morales had a close fight or could beat David Diaz in a rematch, what's the point?

the guy will only take more of a beating.

After the Diaz fight, for the first time he admitted he took too many shots to the head. He said he took some shots he never took before because he never saw them coming.

Morales always had a big ego, but even he admits he has slipped alot. So why take another beating? :dunno:

Hell take anopther beating because like great fighters before him he can't quit the sport. Outside of boxing what can Morales do.

yeah, but alot of fighters are in denial. Morales seemed to be hones with himself after that fight. Only he knows the beating he took regardless of the decision.
