    i think i can answer a couple:

    1. not sure

    2. i dont think the frank mir fight will prove anything if lesnar wins, mir hasnt been the same since the accident, he got the fuck beat out of him by brandon vera, if lesnar loses though...

    3. depends on who ya ask prolly, best is relative, the most talented imo is bj penn, best ever might be rickson gracie

    4. dunno

    5. i havent seen him

    6. dont know, theres alot of parity in MMA, matt hughes did reign for a while at welter though, few years i think

    7. Nate Diaz- won ultimate fighter 2 seasons ago right?. arlovski- got beat (twice i think) by silvia, that about sums it up, dont know much about the next 3, melvin guillard- explosive, athletic, smaller version of kevin randleman, but has huge flaws, go chocked out by joe stevenson real quick

    8. probably, had the most experience of all those guys, great technically, beat the shit out of that strong farm boy in the TUF finale, i personally like a guy from 2 seasons ago when they had the 155 pounders, joe lauzon, he KTFO of jens pulver

btw, cole miller, another guy that was on the 155 pound season, was coached in grappling by a guy named leonard baker, friend of mine, known him since i was 8, dude is tough as hell, won a wrestling natl championship at brockport, actually tried out for the show and won all his fights but didnt get on because of lack of experience (though that corey guy got on by lying about his), apparently none of those guys could stop lenny from taking them down, last i knew he worked at charles mccarthys gym in florida

    1. Since Randy Couture Retired, WHO's the UFC Heavyweight Champ???...Is the Title Vacant???...What's the Pecking Order of Contenders???...

Tim Syvia and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira are fighting for the Interim UFC Heavyweight title on Feb 2 at UFC 81. Dana White doesn't want to strip Cotoure of the title because he thinks it will help him get out of his contract with the UFC.

    2. Is Brock Lesnar REAL???...Will the Frank Mir Fight PROVE Anything???...

If Lesnar had the same exact credentials he has, but was never a pro wrestler for the WWE, a lot of people who are bashing him now would be all over his nuts. But they can't get past his pro wrestling background.

Is he for real? His fight against Mir should help answer that question. Mir was a very good fighter, but since getting in a motorcycle accident years back, he's never been the same.

What we do know is, Lesnar has an impressive collegiate wrestling background, great size, and tremendous strength. Now, what's gonna happen when he gets hit in the face with a kick, or put into a submission, we'll find out very soon.

    3. Is Fedor the Best Mixed Martial Artist EVER or just the Best TODAY???...BJ Penn???...1 of the Gracies???...Wanderlai Silva???...Anderson Silva???

I'd say the consensus among most MMA fans is Fedor is the best ever. He's only lost once, and that was a bullshit cut stoppage from an illegal elbow in the opening seconds of a fight in RINGS a few years back. Other then that, he's beaten everyone he's ever faced.

    Here's his 'loss'.

    4. N Terms of UFC HYPE, who's Underrated, Overrated or Rated Correctly???...

Underated: Frankie Edgar, Overated: Chieck Kongo, Rated Correctly: Anderson Silva

    5. Tyson Griffin???...REED's Heard the Name but Only Saw him Fight for the 1st Time Last Night vs. David Lee...

Tyson Griffin is one of the many great up and coming 155 pounders in the UFC. He has an exciting style, and was in 2 of the UFC's best fights of the year in 2007, a win over Tavares and a loss to Edgar (his 1st and only loss). I see a Griffin\Edgar rematch for the 155 title in about a year or so.

    6. What's Considered a "Long" Reign for a UFC Champion???...

If you can defend the title more then 3 times, I'd say that's a long reign.

    7. Thoughts on these Names...Nate Diaz???...Andre Arlovski??...Thiago Tavares???...Anthony Johnson??...Jon Fitch???...Melvin Guillard???...

Nate Diaz has skill, but is still very green. Arlovski is the Tommy Morrison of MMA. He can bang, but if you tap him on the chin he drops. Tavares is a better fighter then he showed last night. Haven't seen enough of Johnson to give you an honest opinion. Fitch is a very good fighter and will probably take on the winner of Serra\GSP, and Guillard is a mediocre at best fighter who talks too much and got humiliated by Clementi, then acted like a baby after the fight. I'd be amazed if we ever saw him in the UFC again.

    8. Of the Latest TUF Class, does Mac Danzig have the MOST Potential???...Personally, REED liked Ben Saunders the Best...Do the TUF Winners ALWAYS Go On to Have the Most Successful UFC Careers???...

Danzig was already a well established fighter before joining TUF, having fought many times in King of the Cage, and once in Pride. I was surprised they made him go the TUF route.

And winning TUF doesn't guarantee success. Kendall Grove won season 3, and has lost his last 2 fights, and doesn't look to have much of a career ahead of him. To this point, Forrest Griffin (Season 1) has clearly had the most succesful career, in spite of losses to Jardine and Ortiz, he has become a breakout star for the UFC and his win over Shogun Rua solidified him as a legit fighter.

Lesnar has potential.....How he shows vs Mir will greatly influence how he is moved along....If he blows Mir up, he'll catapult to the top to strike while the iron is hot...Lot of money in a big PPV with him for UFC....If he loses, he can still make, it just will show that he isnt ready yet

    Fedor is the best ever....Period

Griffin is a good fighter....Not quite championship caliber, but he could get there one day

Jon Fitch is an ANIMAL....Probably the biggest threat to GSP at 170...(after GSP destroys Serra in the rematch:lol: )

Danzig is closer to washed up than raw

Diaz- solid grappler, less annoying personality than his brother.

    Arlovski- the fucking man.

Tavares- annoying little bug that needs to get squashed. :warning:

Anthony Johnson- only seen him knock that white guy out, I think he lost his next fight.

    Fitch- solid fighter.

Guillard-good athlete and powerfull puncher, but not a very good mma fighter.

Underrated: Joan Carneiro. Matt Serra. Tim Sylvia.

Overrated: Tito Ortiz, he's basically a gatekeeper now, but the UFC still markets him as a star, and many people believe it.

Rated right: Anderson Silva and Jon Fitch.

1."Chicken legs" Silvia vs. Noguiera for the belt.

    2. If Lesnar has a good chit and decent standup, he will be VERY tough to beat given his good takedown defense, wrestling background and brute strength. Mir should be a good litmus test for only a 2nd MMA fight.

    3. Fedor seems to be the best ever. He has dominated his division like none i have ever seen. And a record of 27-1* in MMA is INSANE!! Hell even getting to 12-0 in MMA is incredible. Its kinda like going 45-0 in boxing.

    4. Overrated- Bisping, Gonzaga, Tim Sylvia
    Underrated- Arlovski, Pulver,
Rated correctly- A Silva, Sherk, Fedor, GSP

    5. Don't know much about him. Record looks good though.

    6. Much different than in boxing. Expect to see more losses in MMA. 2-3 yes is a long title reighn. MMA matchmaking is much more aggressive than in boxing. Wide range of fight styles also makes it harder to win many fights in a row.

    7. Diaz- tough kid, great Jiu Jitzu.
Arlovski- Was the baddest man in the HW division at one time. 1 quick stoppage against Silvia and a couple of lackluster performances since then have many wanting more. Chin is not the best in the world, but he is a very dangerous fighter offensively.
Tavarez- Last night looked bad. Havent seen much of him other than that.
    Fitch- Decent

Don't know much about the other 2.

    8. Danzig definately seems to have the best potential. Have seen some winners do great, and some fall fat on their face.

To call Fitch "solid" and "decent" is a gross understatement

He is a title contender now, and is gonna be a star very soon

He is like Nate Marquardt. Good, solid contender that has a chance against anyone but you would favour the top guys over him. Especially at 170.

yeah, but I wouldn't consider any of those guys as great fighters. GSP and BJ Penn would handle him relatively easily I think. Hopefully he proves me wrong, because I like him, he's very low key and just does his job.

They're both Brazilian and they both once trained at Chute Box, but they aren't related. If you look around on fight finder at sherdog.com you'll see a shitload of fighters with the last name of Silva, and almost all of them are from Brazil. It's like the name Smith or Jones in America...
