After Hopkins , I thought Jermain would get even better with more experience. I thought as he got better , he would be something special ...
Shit , I was wrong about that ....

Surely hed be willing to fight Mayweather at that weight too. I mean Mayweather is the only guy close to De la Hoya in terms of superstar status.

Oscar isn't trying pathetic tricks in his high age? What do you call De La Hoya-Forbes?

Oscar is doing that for a payday, not to enchance his legacy. I have hard time believing he had felt the shadow of Forbes

For real he needs shut up, now he starting to be like Hopkins just trying to fight smaller guys for a payday. If he going to fight anybody it needs to be Johnson or one of the other champs at Light Heavy.

Already KO'd Roy. No chance does Roy fight him again...

And at this stage of his career, I wouldn't give RJJ a shot at any of Kessler/Calzaghe/Pavlik/Hopkins/Woods/Dawson.

I knew this sort of shittalk would happen if/when he beat Tito. He beat a fellow HAS-BEEN. He is NOT in any condition to fight any kind of credible titlist... :nono:

I think Roy can beat Glen Johnson and I hope he does. No way does Roy get KO'd like that again by Johnson. He's learned his lesson.

He laid on the ropes against Hanshaw and Tito. Roy has always done that and he isn't going to stop now.

He's not going to turn his head and watch the punch hit him. That's what I'm saying.

let Roy whup DLH.. that woudl be great!!

I'd advise Roy to stay away from Pavlik..

he'd whup Taylor for sure but Pavilk and even gay ass Joe C.. they are so busy.. it could be tough

Don't lose faith on RJ yet X, Pavlik is too damn slow. Even this Version of RJ will see his punches coming a mile away. Pavlik never fought anyone remotely close with RJ's speed!

I disagree completely! You guys are all over the Pavlik bandwagon! He's not that good! Trust me he will be exposed very soon! I give RJ a very good chance to beat Pavlik! He's too sloppy to beat even this version of RJ.

This version of RJJ was KTFO by Glen Johnson. But you say that RJJ now can beat Pavlik??

Jones looked good against a retired has been. Now I know that Tito is your boy, and I was big fan back in the day, but a has been he is. Looking good against a retired guy is one thing. Having the potential to beat the linear 160lb champ is a different business entirely...

Pavlik would probably beat this old Roy, but the moment KP faces a good technician in his prime, I think he'll get beat. Roy back then would have annihalated Pavlik. Now I'm not so sure. I'd root for him, though.

Sure- but this is 2008, not 1998.

RJJ v Pavlik should be Mythical Matchup material, not a bone fide discussion...

Pavlik would kill Roy right now. Roy would lay on the ropes and take a beating.

I agree. The Roy that just fought Tito would beat Pavlik.

I'm really on the fence about Pavlik. Seriously speaking , even in his KO win over Taylor who fought a stupid sloppy fight, he looked slow , sloppy and flat footed .....
I'm not even sure Pavlik beats the Tito that just fought Roy to be honest ..

You guys are overrating Tito based on losing to a shot Jones. Tito isn't beating any young hungery fighters, especially not Pavlik.

Tell me what makes the slow , sloppy , flat footed Pavlik so special besides a decent punch ?
Bro , JT almost made quick work of him. Are you forgetting that ?
And JT has been SHIT and sloppy as hell himself post Hopkins ...
IMO old shot Jones barring a lucky punch would have stopped Pavlik in 5 or 6 rounds ... He is twice as easy to hit as Tito was ....

The Tito that just fought Roy has a very good shot at beating Taylor or Pavlik ..

    BIGGEST fight in Boxing!

If Roy can make 156, as he says he is willing to come down to, to face De la Hoya.

He made 169 for Tito. For De la Hoya, it could be the biggest fight in financial terms EVER. He could easily make the $20 million Mayweather made.

Losing all that weight would also make the fight more competitive.
