    The Rotund One:

"The televised undercard for Cotto-Gomez is in the works, Arum said. He is trying to lock in a fight between former welterweight titleholders Zab Judah and Antonio Margarito. Wins by Cotto and Margarito would likely propel them into a fight later this year. Arum said that he and Judah, who bought out his promotional agreement with Prize Fight Promotions, met Wednesday at Arum's Las Vegas office and they are apart on money. Arum said if they can't make a deal, he already has feelers out to Don King about putting ex-titlist Luis Collazo in the fight instead, and King is interested. "If Judah doesn't take the fight, there are other guys Margarito can fight," Arum said. "We're not close right now, but we're not in different ballparks." If Arum can't make a Margarito fight on the HBO budget, his backup plan is to try to make a rematch between junior welterweight titlist Ricardo Torres and New Jersey's Kendall Holt."

Judah won the first round clearly based primarily on one instance in the middle of the round in which he caught Tszyu and followed up momentarily, but Tszyu recovered very quickly and he was the one who ended the first round strong and he controlled the entire second round. Judah was going backwards almost the entire second round, did very little offensively, and got knocked out.

It's a joke that you try to obfuscate the fact by saying "half a fight" like it was scheduled for two rounds.

HaHa! Zab competitive with Tszyu.

The only thing Zab won was the dance competition at the end.

Smart move for Judah, he needs confidence building not another KO loss that fighting Margs would have netted him. He wants Cotto for the money, not for redemption and that is obvious because dispite what Reed says, Judah was never competitive in the Cotto fight.

If you watch the point where he hurt Cotto it was nothing more than Judah panicking and winging some shots that happened to land. The rest of the fight Judah was so fucking scared he let Cotto just tee off on him at will without putting up any resistance. The guy has no confidence left and never had the mental toughness to beat a guy like Margarito who will pressure Judah's little head off.

Judah would have been facing a very tough, tall, rangy, pressuring mexican who is mentally tougher than him. Judah didn't have a chance in hell, especially when he doesn't believe in himself anymore.

I was hoping the Holt Torres fight happened on the Uundercard anyway. Anyways i would like to see Margarito fight either Zab or Collazo.

Zab didn't dominate sh*t. He stunned Tszyu momentarily with the uppercut and then spent the last minute of the first doing what he did for ALL of the second before he got KO'ed: Backing up and doing NOTHING.

Furthermore, Baldomir is NOT better than Margarito and methinks Tony would KO Tszyu if they had ever fought--with little trouble, I might add. Look up overrated and you'll find a guy with gold teeth and Tarver-like forehead staring back at you.

he's over-rated because people don't think Zab Judah can beat him? At 147 where he's registered one significant win (after first losing)?

zab should just keep fighting on espn and collect easy thousands against subpar opponents. at least that way, he can win and make some mons.

fighting a top guy like margarito would end what's left of his career.

    "Obfuscate"???...

    NICE Word!!!

REED Thought he was Pretty CLEAR N what he Said AND REED is Aware that he's Debating w/those who KNOW How Looooooooong the Fight Lasted...It's NOT Like REED was Trying to MISlead Anybody:dunno: ...

The Bout Went 2 Rounds, Zab CLEARLY Won the 1st...No More, No Less...

AGAIN, Tommy Hearns Probably LOST EVERY Round of his 3 Round Bout vs Hagler, yet NOBODY has a Problem Calling that Fight "Competitive"...

N a 1 Round Fight, if BOTH Guys Get DROPPED, is that NOT a "Competitive" Fight???...

No, he's Overrated Because he's a MEDIOCRE Fighter who NEVER Seems to Make or WIN a MEANINGFUL Fight, yet Peeps Still Treat him like an Elite Welter...

    ......

His first win against Cintron was meaningfull. His loss against Williams was a meaningfull loss though. Regardless it don't matter. Margarito will have his opportunity this year to prove he's not overrated if he gets past Cintron and Cotto that would be pretty impressive.

The SAME Cintron that STRUGGLED w/David Estrada & Jose "Yeah, I Know it's Jesse" Feliciano???:dunno: ...

If that's the Case, Margarito Should Fight Andre Berto...

U KNOW how REED Feels about Margarito, VAL...& REED has Felt that Way a Looooooooooooooooong Ass Time Now...

REED Still ISN'T Sold on Paul Williams Either, yet he BEAT the OVERRATED Margarito...

    2008 OR BUST, Margarito...

Like I said, if he beats Cintron and Cotto then I don't think he could be called overrated by anyone. If he losses either fight though (especially to Cintron), people can shut up about him forever. Regardless, no he shouldn't fight Andre berto. Margarito should fight Cintron to get his shot at Cotto. Williams is still somewhat unproven but his style is going to be hard to beat IMO.

BTW- I used to like Margraito but all the hype got on my nerves to. Regardless, if he wins those 2 fights back to back, it would be pretty impressive.

Margarito is so powerful and strong that he moved up one weight class and got beat up by Daniel Santos. Then he came back down for a few years and finally fought his number one contender and LOST.

The first fight didn't even last a round due to a bad clash of heads...and most people had Margarito winning the rematch before that was stopped and went to the cards.

You're right, a huge black mark on his record.

& WHEN they "Went to Cards" WHAT was the Verdict???:dunno: ...

SOME May have Had Margarito Winning...Not Sure about "Most People"...

The POINT is, Daniel Santos SUCKS...Peeps Portray Margarito as a "Puncher", Santos has a SHITTY CHIN, yet What Happened???...

Daniel Santos Most Certainly IS a "Black Mark" on the Record of Margarito...Even Kofi Jantuah, a Floyd Mayweather SPARRING Partner, Wiped his Ass w/Santos...
