Povetkin weights in the same as against Byrd, Chambers has put on some lbs since the Brock fight but nothing major.

Not true. He just wants heavyweight money and he can obviously compete at the weight. Believe it or not, the guy actually trains hard.

Well, REED Can't Speak on HOW Chambers Trains, but REED has YET to See a Guy that TRUELY Trains Hard who Consistently Shows Up FLABBY...

Chambers is YOUNG Enough to Make a NAME For himself @ Crusier, Possibly DOMINATE that Division, THEN Move up to Heavy, ala Holyfield...Instead, he's Looking for the "Quick Fix"...It Seems like Chambers ISN'T Planning for LONGEVITY or Looking @ the BIG Picture...

Chambers' BODY Tells the Story...UNlike Sultan Ibragimov (who Certainly DOESN'T have a Chiseled Physique),Chambers is a Small, FLABBY Heavyweight...

He CLEARLY has Excess Weight that PREVENTS him from Weighing N as a Crusier...& Obviously he DOESN'T Care...

Again, Guys that TRUELY Train Hard AIN'T Consistently FAT...& It's NOT about Having a BodyBuilders Physique (Guys like Larry Holmes & Riddick Bowe Certainly DIDN'T,but U Could TELL N their Bodies when their Training SLACKED),but your Body Shouldn't JIGGLE Either...

Chambers is a SMALL Heavy w/a GELATIN Body:lol: ...He's Got "Crusierweight" Written ALL OVER him...

Obviously he's a cruiser. Shoot, he's not very tall(shorter than I am) and has no shoulders, so I'd go out on a limb and say that he could really be a Light Heavyweight.

    but

    He's successful as a heavyweight.

So I think that his outlook is that if he can't make it as a heavyweight, he can go down and fight as a cruiser, make money, and turn it into a second career. Now if he started as a cruiserweight, lost, and then moved up to Heavyweight, nobody would care, because this small guy can't even beat people his size.

VALID Point...REED Never Thought of it THAT Way...

Chambers ALREADY has Some Decent Heavyweight Wins, so even IF he Gets SMASHED @ Heavy Eventually, Lower Weights R STILL a Viable Option...

Like U Said, it'd B HARD to Market an UNsuccessful Crusier/Lightheavy as a Heavyweight..

I think Chambers is doing the right thing campaigning at Heavyweight. I'm confident he loses this fight, big, but i don't think he would do any better at cruiserweight.

Styles make fights, and guys like Haye, Maccarenelli and Mormeck would give him as much trouble as the top guys at heavyweight. (He'd get KO'd by all).

OK, so he may be more competitive at Cruiser, but if your gonna lose regardless, why not get paid for it?

Its something i thought i'd never say, but the Cruiser class is considerably deeper than the Heavys at the moment.

Brock was fat. Fatter than ever and he slept through the fight, yet won the rounds where he was active in, reasonably easy. The Brock that turned u in shape for McCLine would have beaten Chambers without much trouble, IMO. Eddie can do very little with a heavyweight who applies the pressure consistently and punches accurately. All he does is cover up and wait for his opportunity to unleash hell...in the form of pitty-patt taps and slaps.

You have to understand one thing Crickey.... the idea of a philadelphia heavyweight, even a transplanted one from Pittsburgh (once a mecca itself Con, Burley, etc) is enough to make a true Yankee boxing fan salvate like one would for a cheese steak from the same geographic location.

Not no Michigan tech like Moore , but a go to the body Frazier style, keep coming no matter... Philly Heavyweight!!

But I guess Fast Eddie isn't going to be the one. this is why we need a cry smili.

The worst thing about this is that Povetkin is by far the best heavyweight prospect going around, but will be cannon fodder for Wlad. Who's going to be the next one?

The current group of 'prospects' coming through at this weight is so ridiculous its not funny.

If Wlad could take a punch he could possibly go on a Joe Louis type run of defenses, the division sucks that bad.

I don´t know why everybody keeps saying Povetkin will be cannon fodder. He will be the best all around fighter Wlad has every fought and last time I loooked it up, Wlad had already lost three times. Is anybody buying into this new and improved sh*t? He´s the same fighter he was, when Sanders beat him or when Brewster beat him. Just because he´s a bit more cautious, doesn´t mean a thing. Peter almost knocked him out and he can barely control in what direction he punches. If Povetkin can get past Wlads jab and puts together a 4-5 punch combination, Wlad is down and out faster than you can say "Corrie Sanders with IE". That´s all there is it to that. :slap:

Stop those lies German. The more cautious approach makes world of difference with Wlad. He has given up his right hands attack to cover himself from opponen'ts left that has caught him often. He is more dull now but damn difficult to beat and definitely a different fighter. Also Peter didin't "nearly knock him out". Two of the KDs were from illegal punches and Wlad got up easily every time.

I am a fan of Povetkin and if he takes over after Wlad, I will be glad. However so far he hasn't been quite as effective as I thought he'd be seeing him as an amateur. He gets it more than he should and he couldn't drop Byrd even though landing ton of leather on him

    Actually, Sanders uses firefox.

And, FYI...any heavyweight that gets past jabs and puts together a 4-5 punch combination is going to KO his man one way or the other.

Getting past the jab is the fun part.

If Liston could have slipped Alis jab and put together the 4-5 punch combo.....FFS...

What I am saying is that guys just don't "slip the jab and rattle off 4-5 punch combos".......

Thats like saying "I'll just hop in my Dodge and do some fast laps of the Indy ring".

    Sure...okay...whatever...
