I think Kelly takes him out within 4. I think both trade knockdowns but Pavlik recovers better I think.
Pavlik beats him down the same way he did to Edison, maybe even quicker. Echols was cut from the same mold as Edison, but perhaps with an even lesser chin.
Echols was a good puncher and not much else. The only reason his name even surfaces is because gave Hopkins some tough moments. Pavlik would stretch him.
Yeah. Echols was over-rated az hell in retrospect. I remember finding Hopkins' first victory over him so impressive (his second one much less so). And I guess it was. But in reality he was in there with a much more limited fighter than I'd thought.
Well yeah. He was dropped once. Therfore if a fighter hits harder than Taylor, automatically they will drop Pavlik. That's how it works.
Echols dropping Kelly is very possible. Echols could crack like a sonuvabitch! Arguably even harder than Miranda. But Antwun was wild, and sloppy as hell so its doubtful he would finish Kelly off if he got him in trouble. Whereas when Pavlik gets Echols hurt, the fight would be as good as over.
