    IMO , if they rematched , I think Duran could stop Hearns late in the fight.
    I think Duran would be able to avoid big shots in a rematch.

    my Duran love is overwhelmingly documented.

    8 times out of 10 he gets butchered by Hearns, just a terrible style matchup for someone who uses his feints/boxing ability to set up an inside game.

    The hell he would! Hearns hit too hard, too fast, and too accurately for Duran to ever avoid his shots. Sure Duran is the greater fighter, but head-to-head because of styles, Tommy would always be a nightmare for Duran. Tommy ate short fighters for breakfast!
