Who was down by a huge margin and scored a huge one punch KO for the win? David Reid in the olympic final comes to mind for me.
Rounds = PLURAL There had only been 1 ROUND, the first round. There were no RoundS completed. Thus, you are proven WRONG.
Reid had lost "all rounds" before he KO'd Duvergel. All round being 2 rounds. Apparently, in amateur boxing, being behind after 2 rounds is a big fucking deal, and you should know this, Ammy Expert.
Dude......his KO of the G Man had.......nothing to do with "Hail Mary 1 Punch KO's" unless you think the right hand he landed behind McClellans ear at the end of Round 1 was the beginning of the end.
I don't agree. Toney was behind and the KO came kind of surprisingly, but Toney set it up with his body attack through the fight
Neither Toney-Nunn nor Foreman-Moorer count, IMO. Toney was getting to Nunn in the previous couple rounds and landing some good shots in the 11th up to that point. He was behind on points, but Toney was landing good shots and getting to Nunn regardless. According to Moorer (or Lampley who said Moorer said it), the first 1-2 from Foreman had Moorer out on his feet before the final 1-2.
I disagree. First, Moorer seemed to take the first shot well, and second, even if it set him up, it still counts as a Hail Mary to me since it came from nowhere
If we are talking about come from behind knockouts, and not necessarily punches eeming thrown out of desparation David Tua has had a few.
Hail mary ko's the one that i think of is Dereck Jeferson against Mo Harris.........Boooom Then timbeeeeeeeeeeeer. And Jorge Castro against Jackson
Tarver/Harding 2 has to be up there high ... Tarver lost every round , was getting his ass handed to him, and had a look of "quit" on his face when he closed his eyes and gave a big swing ..
Good one. Lucky also in the sense that the punch didn't land properly and as a result of that it fucked up Damiani's nose
I thought he'd rung his bell previously in the round with a good right hand (that Lewis probably hadn't fully recovered from)...and the champ's fancy footwork along the ropes didn't help him much, either.::
