Trinidad impressed me more than Roy," stated world-renowned trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. as he talked about the recent clash between Roy Jones Jr. and Felix Trinidad. Check out what he had to say about both fighters performances and his thoughts on Roy Jones Jr. calling out Oscar De La Hoya. And speaking of the Golden Boy, Mayweather Sr. talks about Oscar's tune-up on May 3rd. "I think he's trying to get a Floyd look because you know Stevie rolls his shoulders over and everything too," he stated and you don't want to miss what else he had to say. Check it out! Agreed. If Jones Jr can't stop a guy who is genetically 24lb lighter than himself (and chinny, to boot), then Trinidad deserves the props.
I re-watched the fight again and its apparent Tito's body is not made for 170. Tito was really fighting a much bigger and stronger fighter and did very good for himself. I think Tito can to some serious damage @160. Who @160 has the power.Speed of RJ? Answer is no one. Tito still has a few more fights left. He can become champion again if he really wants it.
I'd like to see Pavlik vs Tito. So that Hex will stop talking shit about Pavlik after he destroys Tito. ::
Trinidad wouldn't have a chance today against Pavlik. But I think he could possibly beat Jermain Taylor who is so flawed its ridiculous he got 2 decisions over Hopkins. I take it Mayweather Sr is gonna train Oscar for Floyd, then??... I don't see it making a difference in the fight but maybe it'll add more drama to the 24/7 show.
