His stand up is not very good, he stands so straight up, no wonder he gets knocked down and hurt so often. He would get destroyed by any journeyman boxer (in boxing). But his bjj is sick.

the weird thing is that he's supposed to train like a freak in boxing, and indeed his techinique is quite good, he just got no talent for it, easy to hit, unalble to pull the trigger, soft puncher, doesn't move his head,... but what a fucking chin and heart.

    Emerson vs. Nakamura
    Rd1:
Emerson throwing tons of strikes and then he eats a big knee which sends him to the canvas. I still think Emerson won the round.

    Rd2:
Emerson throws and lands a ton, and fails to hurt this guy. Emerson apparently can't hit too hard. Actually, scratch that. Nakamura may have a really good chin but he has a bad cut under his right eye and it's also swelling a lot.

    Rd3:
Lots of sloppy missing. Kinda sleepy actually. Emerson might finally have a notch in the win category.

Fucking funny. Emerson's nickname is "The Saint". The piece of shit jumped 2 guys with 7 of his loser friends, and his nickname is "The Saint".

Hard to believe that Big Nog's twin brother is on the Brazilian Olympic boxing team. Big Nog's standup is totally limp, but his BJJ is fantastic. That sweep was nice.

Since his standup is pretty subpar for a champ, his opponents will definitely care. If they can keep it standing, then the wear and tear may get to him. Actually it makes for added drama, and since fans like drama, they will all care as well! :dunno:

Tim earned my respect tonight. He looked like the old Tim Sylvia,he was agressive and throwing punches which is something he hasn't done in a long time, plus he showed class before the fight and after the fight.

You make it sound soooo easy. He's only lost to 3 fighters his entire career (FEDOR,BARNETT,HENDO) so clearly its not as easy as you make it sound, just ask Timmy how easy it is:lol:

Randy doesn't share your confidence, his hour glass is up and if he's going to lose its going to be to Fedor not to the guy who lost twice to fedor:lol:

Like I said he should rush back to the UFC, easy fight. Nog can't take him down and can't beat him on the feet either. Couture would win and easily as long as he fought smartly which I think he would he's no dummy.

Sylvia came out to that Hillbilly Deluxe song, and although he fought as well as he could, he looks painfully awkward. He did everything but punch Nog's face out the back of his head, and then one sweep from Nog and it's over with a guillotine choke while one arm was in.

Nog doesn't have much more than one dimension, but that dimension is pretty deep.

    Randy would pound him though.

Dude, if you can't see that Nog is on his last legs, you're at least three-quarters blind. He almost lost to Heath, his face is filled with scar tissue, and he's starting to gas. He lost twice to Fedor, the Hendo fight was close, and Barnett almost stopped him with that kneebar.

Not to mention that he almost got his head kicked off in his last fight by a guy who he had already beaten TWICE EASILY. Nog's on his way down, and it would be quite easy for Fedor or Randy to take the belt from him.:dunno:

I feel Nog would beat Couture and quite easilly too, Nog's on the way down, but he's better than Couture and The natural is bound to show his age really soon.BTW Nog lost to Rodriguez too it's just hidden as a W on his record

How? Couture is the better striker and if he don't want the fight to go to the ground it's not going there.

Oh, there opened and your entitled to your opinion but I'm saying its one of this thing that might not turn out as you envision.Randy's standup looked good against a Sylvia with a damaged back ,so I'll just take the wait and see approach on that one.

I think Couture is definitively the sneakier and heavier puncher of the two, but Nog got better boxing skills ( Couture is very lacking in that area, he does good ''dirty boxing'' but his textbook skills are awfull ) and he's far more relax, imo, he could easilly outbox the smaller Couture and survived the occasionnal bomb.

Excuses don't matter. Couture boxed the shit out of Sylvia. Beat his ass. Anyone pay attention to defense because Nog don't have any. It's ridiculous to rely on your jaw as much as he does. You eventually fight the wrong guy and that don't work out so well. Nog is a great, great fighter but a wrestler with good boxing is the perfect person to beat him (besides Fedor of course).

The UFC champ got hios ass whipped over and over by Fedor. Tim Sylvia and Dana should stop trashing Fedor now.
