Since Quintana beat Williams who beat Margarito, is Carlos Quintana now the linear "most avoided welterweight" champion????

Nah, Floyd beat Quintana last night. Williams met his atomic opposite and was annihilated so Floyd could win.

    To answer the question: No.

That honor goes back to Clottey.

after this summer if and when cotto beats margarito, he will far and away have the best resumé of any welterweight.

Not even close Reed my friend. I don't start a thread with him every 2 weeks to keep him relevent. Fact is none of the big names want to fight him. Even Cintron got out of his mandatory with Clottey to fight Margarito.

what pisses me off is that people like max act as if since quintana beat williams, that willims couldn't beat cotto or pbf for that matter. has max ever heard the phrase, "styles make fights?"

Williams doesnt have the style to beat either Floyd, or Cotto.

I think Williams defense was pretty much exposed in a nasty way last night. Quintana landed everything he threw.

1 thing paul does that is illegal is grabs his guy around the neck and hits him with the other hand.

Not really. It's not even like Quintana had to throw a lot of punches. Floyd would walk Williams into a ton of punches. Doesn't matter if Floyd hurts him, he would land the better blows. Williams don't punch worth a shit.I overrated Williams a bit because of his lanky ass style but not after last night. His defense is garbage.

it's been 24 whole hours since quintana's victory, and floyd still hasn't had the courage to fight him. :eeeek: it's shameless ducking, and the whole world knows it.
