i would assume Kimbo probably already has gained a fair bit of knowledge on the ground....Training under Bas with guys like Mayhem means that Kimbo is drilling subs like a mother, and learning them the right way. He may not have the experience to pull any off yet, but I promise he has spent more time rolling in the last year than Tank has in his entire career.... I think it would SMART of Kimbo to take Tank down....Tanks only shot at winning is by landing a bomb
I'm kinda suprised at how easy you guys are pickin Slice.. Tank IMO is a tough opponent for Slice.. if they stand and trade I'm not sure who get's stopped.. If Kimbo has learned some ground game.. maybe he can do that...
Tank has to be in his 40's know and he trains at the bar plus he is a fat unathletic guy with no skills at all plus he is very slow. Kimbo has an athletic body and younger plus more skills. Tank has little chance...... fuck it no chance what so ever at winning this fight.
Sorry i can't agree with that. First of all his punches are so slow that if one of them knocks you out you gotta have the shittiest chin ever. Secondly if you are getting hit by an old fat slow bar fighter you don't qualify as an athlete.
Tank's probably too washed up, but i wouldn't count him out. Stylewise he has shot. That said i'll still take Kimbo by ground and pound in the first round.
I don't know.. Tank is a big boy and has been in with far better people than Slice, maybe Tank will G&P him out
haven't seen any Tank fight in YEARS.....but even back then he wasn't that good.....but considering he neither guy is very skilled in this fight...he has a shot...but.. KIMBO by KO 1
Tank Abbott is the perfect example of how much MMA has evolved over the past 10 years or so. If Tank was just starting out today, he'd be a nobody, and would never see the likes of UFC, EliteXC, IFL, or any other major organization. He's just not skilled enough. Not even close. Hell, he was barely a .500 fighter back when the skillset of the average MMA fighter was much weaker then it is now. But he was in the right place at the right time, had good KO power, a unique look, and an outspoken personality, which made him a perfect fit in the early days of the UFC. He's perfect fodder for Kimbo. I pick Kimbo by early chokeout. TFK
you dont have to agree with it....Cabbage is notorious for the damage he can take and Tank knocked him the fuck out
Even Tank knows he has to lay down in this one. Kimbo KO1. Wake me up with Kimbo fights a legit contender or at least Rich Gannon again.
A complete and total bum, but he can take a lick....I'm not saying I was impressed with Tanks skills in the least, but anyone who can ice cabbage has a punchers chance And its not like Kimbo has proven anything yet
really??? Based on what? And dont say Antonio Silva....Silva is gonna be the best HVY in the world in <2 years, and is one of the most diverse strikers in that class already I'll hear the arguement though:dunno: EDIT The reason I ask why is because I brought up this same point with my roomate the other day...He was hyping up Cabbages chin, and I wondered if maybe Tim Sylvia is just a vastly overrated striker and the shots that Cabbage took against him werent THAT bad
exactly. The same thing with the Arlovski fight. I am not saying he does not have a good chin, he does, but it's not as granite as people make it out to be.
:bears: regardless, it won't mean a thing tonight, as Kimbo will make quick work of Tank. Iis Cabbage retired? Maybe they will feed him to Kimbo next.
I can see them trying to get Kimbo in there with Sean Gannon again soon....Or maybe they save Gannon for after Kimbo loses a fight...:dunno:
