Let’s be honest, Jermain Taylor isn’t that great a fighter. He’s not impressive, and he’s not skilled or remarkable enough to be the Middleweight Champion of the World. [FONT="]There’s something incredibly special and unique about the Middleweight division (160 lbs) and even though Light Middleweight (154 lbs) is only 6 pounds south and Super Middleweight (168 lbs) is 8 pounds to the north, there’s something uniquely special and sacred about the Middleweights, and there’s a higher expectation on being the Middleweight Champion. Why on earth does anyone want to compare Jermain Taylor to Jeff bloody Lacy? Taylor may not be all that special, but he is MILES better than Lacy, who isn't very good at all. Also, what's this about fighting Robin Reid? Last time I checked, he was refusing to come out of his corner to fight Carl Froch before promptly retiring... And I'm still laughing at the idea of putting Lucian Bute, Anthony Mundine and Mikkel Kessler in the same group. That's like putting Herbie Hide, Frank Bruno and Muhammed Ali in the same pot. Crazy ::
i thought of musze when stewrd referred to taylor's right hand as a bow and arrow. is it possible that stweard = musze? doubtful.
that is awful. Hopkins lost because he was training for a 15 round fight? That may be the dumbest thing ive read this week. Is there a reason someone would want to publish drivel about how bad Jermaine Taylor is? How bout commending him for taking an immediate rematch with some who KHTFO and then putting up a better showing? How bout his willingness to take on the Corey Spinks/Winky WRights of the world who nobody else wants to fight. This is just a classless shot at a good/great fighter who was the undisputed middleweight champion for multiple years
Totally agree. Opening line says it all, 'Taylor os not good enough to be middleweight champion'
I'm sorry, but what a complete clusterfuck of an article. It read more like a bad forum post or an entry in a blog, than an article from a legitimate boxing site. There should really be a higher set of standards for articles featured on the home page.
