Just saw on Boxingtalk that Winky challenged Pav to a Jun 7 showdown and it looks like Pav has accepted it. Let's just hope Winky doesn't price himself out of it.

Hopefully Winky will do us all a favour, and rid us of another one of these European robots with his constant and methodical jab.

funny I just read an interview with Arum from yesterday and he was asked about Winky's challenge. He said Winky was offered the fight a year ago and should have taken it then.

He said he was only interesting in matching up Pavlik with exciting fights. Basically said Winky was boring and should wait his turn. :dunno:

I wonder if things will change since Pavlik publicly accepted the challenge.

My dear Inca, being boring doesn't exclude him from p4p lists, he shuts out his opposition with just the jab alone.

No, he'll get the shit thumped out of him.

He won't do as well as Taylor did in the rematch.

Winky is crafty and has tight defense, but he is too small and weak to take on pavlik. He is past his best too.

Pavlik is going to beat the shit out of Winky, and stop him around 9 rounds.

I'm as big a Wright fan as there is and I am telling you right now Winky is not exposing or even beating Pavlik. There is nothing to "expose" Pavlik has proven to be a solid fighter and he's the damn MW Champion. Give the guy some respect.

How is Winky going to beat Pavlik? With his superior Jab? Nope, not happening. Workrate? Pavlik easily keeps pace with Winky. Power? Winky doesn't have the firepower to keep Pavlik off. Winky lately fights like a poor mans Pavlik. Just a one two and lots of pressure. Only problem is he can't crack an egg.

I'm afraid this is the time Winky gets stopped. I don't like this fight for him at all.

Winky's not a KO artist but he's not boring and you've got to admire Pavlik for not taking an easy tune-up. Both Pavlik and Taylor have been setting examples in the Middleweight division that the rest of the titlists should take note of.

Say what you want of Taylor's smaller opposition for some fights, the list of guys he's fought and re-matched in the last couple years is impressive and Pavlik will follow in his footsteps I think. :bears:

Winky has a great chin. I'd be impressed if Pavlik stopped him.

Winky has a great chance at beating Kelly. He should be able to block most of Kellys punches and land alot of jabs.

He sure does, but he has been taking way more shots in his past few fights than he ever has. He's more flat footed, he just doesn't move out of the way of shots anymore. Just puts on the ear muffs and walks through shots. He can't afford to fight like that against a guy like Pavlik who will throw as many or more punches than he will. It's a bad fight for Winky.

I don't know. Winky's been blocking a lot of shots with his face lately and Kelly can throw straight up the middle shots through Winky's guard.

I would look forward to this fight either way though.

Good win for Pavlik, but as a fan of both I can live without seeing it. I just think it's a real bad fight for Winky.

Unless someone else mentioned Mosley you might want to recheck my spelling. Or were just teaching for the sake of teaching. :dunno:

Pavlik will win.....by Decision...he throw too many punches both to the head and body...as soon as he realize he can't land to the head clean/often enough he will go to the body and beat Winky there.....

I already have my prediction and it will stand!

    Winky UD Pavlik.

The master boxer is going to make easy work in Pavlik.

Wright at his best would've picked Pavlik apart imo. Not sure how much Wright has left at the age of 36 pushing 37.

If Winky Gets his FOOTWORK Back for a Night, this Could B a DIFFICULT Matchup for Pavlik...

But if he Stands Flat-Footed, N FRONT of Pavlik, Kelly OUTHUSTLES him...

It's HARD to Look GREAT Against Winky, so a KO is Doubtful...But if Pavlik DID Manage to KO the Wink, that'd B even MORE Impressive than the Taylor KO, N REED's Opinion...
