According to Fightnews Felix Sturm, Giovanni Lorenzo may be the front-runners for the fight.

-Arum confirmed that a June 7th date at Madison Square Garden is planned, telling a handful of reporters after the fight, "Felix Sturm is a possibility, so we'll look around, I don't think Kelly is going to be ready from what I'm hearing on June 7, because of the cuts." When corrected, Arum added, "Duddy, I said Duddy, sorry I didn't say Duddy," before laughing.

-Arum suggested other possibilities for Pavlik including Giovanni Lorenzo, a native of the Dominican Republic, now fighting out of New York City. Arum said Lorenzo, "has indicated to us that he's interested in the fight, so that would be a good, local show."

-Arum also hinted about 21-year-old middleweight prospect Quinton Smith (11-0) who is currently promoted by Don King.

Duddy was busted up bad in his last fight. He won't be fighting for a while

Sturm would be a low risk fight. Lorenzo has a bit of power and is a big guy who isn't very known. Not sure that fight makes much sense.

i was at the fight and duddy took some beating in the first few rounds. i thought he pulled it out, but it could've been a draw. the guy he fougth gased out after the 5th and didnt really do much.

one thing about duddy tho, he looks like he can box, but his defense is fucking awful.

his skin is also prone to get sliced, but w/ that said, what difference would it make when he'd only last about 2 rounds vs pavlik anyhow.

Out of the three mentioned Sturm is the most well know, or should I say he's the only one known at all. He should KO Sturm and then bring Abraham over.

He won´t. Sturm won´t fight anybody who can punch. He has his hands full with Masoe, Castillejo and Randy Griffin, with his shitty chin he doesn´t fight Pavlik or Abraham until he wants to cash out. He´ll settle for Jamier Pitt(y)man and the winner of Sylvester/Castillejo.

Winky is calling out Pavlik on Boxingtalk. That's not really a fight I'd like to see though being a big fan of both guys. I really think Winky if he's serious needs to get back to 154.

The problem for Winky is I don't really see many big names/fights left for him at 154 or 160, outside of Pavlik and Forrest.

I'd like to see either one of those fights this year, but Forrest is already booked for May.

I don't like the Pavlik fight for Winky. I think he'll lose and that will be the end of his career basically. I think he can make a good run back at 154 and be sucessful there. I just can't imagine pillow fisted Winky having anything to keep pavlik off him. Pavlik will match Winky in punches thrown and that has always been one of his advantages over most guys. Pavlik will walk him down and probably stop him.

I doubt that Winky heads down to 154 since all the cash cows went down to 147. I'd like to see Winky vs Pavlik, especially since Taylor fought Winky close on the cards.

But that is because Winky really pushed the pace and Jermain did what he does and that is fade! Pavlik can keep pace with Winky and Winky can't afford to fight that way against a puncher like Pavlik. Winky's defense is good, but he takes a lot of shots, especially now. Look at the Taylor and the Hopkins fghts. When has Winky taken more punches than those fights?

I agree with you, that's why I want to see the fight! I never saw Winky take that many shots cleanly. Unless you count the Vasquez fight. Pavlik is young enough to keep an active work rate up against Winky and push him into even more of a defensive mode, if that's possible. I think Pavlik would UD Winky.

Pavlik/Winky fight would be a great fight to watch. I like Pavlik to win the fight, however Pavilk has had a great run here with some tough ass fights and dude needs an easy fight but not too easy cause we don't want him to get too over confident. But he needs a lower tier type challenger and then look to close 2008 out wit a bang. I'll Holla 5000

I never understood the hype about Duddy. He is just like Andy lee. A young middleweight who is so unproven but hasn't lost yet.

too bad Tito can't make 160 that was always a better fight for Pavlik.

He's not as good as Andy Lee, and frankly the only real hype is about his tickeet sales. I have never read anybody who considers him to be an elite prospect/contender or think he has the tools to become one.

    Yes and yes again.

Lee MIGHT just have the tools to become a top MW given some time, good coaching and some more experience.

Duddy is rubbish; pure rubbish. He was lucky to survive against Walid on Saturday- the fight could have been stopped on cuts alone and he has this hilarious habit of blocking powerful right hands with his face.

If he fought Kelly, he'd be ICED. For this reason alone, Kelly should pull all strings to get his ass over the pond again.
