Not likely going to happen. Arum is ducking matching Cotto against Floyd almost as hard as he's ducking matching Pavlik against Wright. He said in Btalk interview how he's not going to even ask Floyd to fight Cotto because Floyd doesn't want to fight the best. Arum was then asked how come he always asked Floyd to fight Margarito even though that fight never happened. Arum said he's been down that road before and won't pursue Floyd for a fight. He said Floyd has to ask for it.

But who knows, maybe it was one of Arum's lying days.

Well this is THE fight to be made in the welterweight division and arguable in boxing.

Now, I think his is pretty much a publicity stunt by Cotto and his team to bait Mayweather into fighting him.

I think the fight will happen eventually though.

 

If Cotto had BALLS to move up 5 divisions (like Mayweather did) and fight the best, Cotto would've faced not Pavlik, but Calzaghe.....Alas, Cotto's testicles are incomparably tiny, when compared to PBF's HUGE cojones.....
