Assuming(and lets all hope) that Katsidis beats old man Assamayor in two weeks, I'd love to see this fight! Who wins?

BTW- despite losing, I'd still love to see Diaz-Katsidis some day as well.

If he can pull out a performance close to last night's, then Campbell wins. It would be a good fight.

I think Katsidis would knock Campbell out. Too much power, too much agression.

Did you see the last Cassmayer fight X? It isn't a question of beating the guy, he would have to be decapitated not to get the decision!

I think Katsidis is gonna stop him. Assa is too old to keep up with Katsidis power, speed, and aggression.

Do you think Katsidis would knock out Diaz as well?

    I do.

I don't think Diaz has enough power to KO Katsidis and his defence isn't good enough to stop him getting hit hard. A lot.

Prior to tonight I would have picked Diaz. I'll wait until the 22 to make a pick, but you might be right. Campbell was really the first good fighter Diaz faced that DIDNT fold up! Fruitass, and J.Diaz were too mentally soft to take the pressure, but Nate didnt crumble mentally or physically. Katsidis doesnt seem like the type to crumble either, and he does have a big power edge over Diaz. Maybe even a handspeed edge as well.

I don't know, Diaz might have a style that would cause Katsidis problems with his sheer volume punching but at the same time, Kastidis could bust him up early like Campbell did and make him worried of opening up. Before last night I would have picked Diaz, this morning I'm not sure anymore.

I'm a big Katsidis fan. Have been for a while...

It's hard for me to judge anything on Diaz based on last night as I haven't seen the fight, but I've always thought he's made for someone like Katsidis. Diaz has a great workrate and comes forward with a lot of pressure, but that's pretty much all she wrote and it sounds like someone finally stood in front of him and hit him harder back.

Katsidis would do that all night. He is one tough Aussie bastard- I watched Earl knock him over and he simply got up and brutalised Graham. The edge in power would definitely be with Kats. Diaz would come at him and might score early success through aggression and pressure, but I simply see no way that Diaz can KO him. Juan Diaz, though, is always there to be hit. And Katsidis can generally knock over what is there for him to hit flush.

I would definitely pick Katsidis in this fight. And I also definitely pick him to knock Casa over too.

Casamayor will probably beat Katsidis and we'll get to see Casamayor-Campbell II instead of Katsidis-Diaz. This is why boxing is dying. The fights people actually want to see never materialize. There have been so many great fights like this that could have been made and never were, and now it's too late.

I fucking detest Casamayor with a passion, but unfortunately I think he'll probably scrape a decision over Katsidis too. He might be over the hill, but I think he is too savvy and too tough for someone like Katsidis.

Yup. It was a superb performance by Nate, and we did also get to see that Diaz isn't quite as tough and determined as he thinks he is, and that most fans think he is.

He quit mentally, no doubt about it, in the face of the cut and Nate's toughness and determination. But the bodyshots no doubt played a part in him being subdued too.

Freitas is talented, but just a total fucking quitter himself. He has as much grit and toughness as a baby's bottom.

Diaz is a good fighter, but he's lucky a prime Castillo & Corrales arent around. They'd have half killed him.

I feel the same way. I'd love to see him get a career ending beating for all the eye damage he's given me over the years. I haven't seen Kat fight yet but I'll be looking forward to this fight in hopes Assamayor does get KO'd for once.

Katsidis is a beast my friend. His only weakness is that he has bad skin. I think Casa might cut him up, but regardless I think a bloody Katsidis will stop the old man.

Yeah, I read about him in Ring magazine. They basically compared him as a 135lb Arturo Gatti which isn't really saying much, but I get the point.

He's better than bum ass Gatti.

I'd liken him more to Ray Mancini. Probably not quite as good as Ray, but he's closer to Mancini than he is the Canadian/Italian punching bag.

Mancini huh? Does that mean that he'll be a flash in the pan. Quickly reach the pinnacle of the sport before almost as quickly getting knocked off of it. Literally. Well not that bad Mancini did make it through a few defenses I think.

With his style he probably will have a short lived prime like Mancini had. But lucky for Katsidis, theres no Arguello at 135, so he should do well.

If Casa beats Katsidis and Campbell has beaten Diaz, then certainly the fight that should rightly be made is Casamayor-Campbell II.

That's boxing and that is why boxers try to win the fights.

It's not why boxing is "dying"....sometimes there are misses, but if they're LEGIT misses - because boxers lose and therefore lose the 'right' to get that fight - then it's legit.

    We can't complain - not with the 2006, 07 and 08 we've been getting!

    Peace.

And that he gets hit like a heavy bag....and that he can be hurt...and that he squares up like a mofo with no head movement.

But yeah, he's a beast in terms of his willpower and determination and strength...to me the jury is still out a bit in terms of his actual power.
    Peace.

Campbell doesn't do too well against Australian midgets, it'll be all the more meat for Katsidis, and due to his disgusting white skin, maybe he'll be nibbling on a bit of his own meat too, that boy is blood pudding in sausage skin, like hell he's from Arabian Greece.
