No way is Cambell an A level talent

Is he comparable to Floyd, Pacman, Jones etc in terms of talent?

Campbell is a very good fighter, but a B+ fighter, which is why he's never been a world champion until now.

Diaz is not quite as good as he was meant to be, and Nate just had the style to beat him. It didn't take a boxer, it took determined roughhouse tactics to counter Diaz' style.

What do I know, I'm not God. What makes sense to me or you may not make sense at all. When you have the understanding of God and not some snot nose punk who knows zero about anything then feel free to let me know.

    Cheers.

I was the same way. In fact I was so anti-Diaz that I was certain he'd be one of the first of the new tier of boxers to get beaten. Turns out he was 2nd to last. I'd said Nate had no chance to beat him but in all honesty I missed Diaz's fights against Freitas and Julio and hadn't seen Campbell fight in several years. I made my prediction off of how others said Diaz looked so awesome. If in fact Diaz is just as shit as he always was then I see no reason Campbell won't beat him again.

Also for the record Nate's camp claimed this was one of the rare times Nate had a real live camp with no distractions or having to work on the side. He talks about it in this Maxboxing story where he also talks about how he got into it with a bunch of their posters in the forums. It's a pretty cool story.

That's my point....Nate is quite inconsistent. Alot of it has to do with him having been drained at 130 and/or having bad camps and/or taking alot of fights on short notice...

But he's also been historically mentally inconsistent in fights.

He seems to have cleaned up his act (Zegan, Quiles, Alcorro, now Diaz), we'll see if it holds up.

No one's claiming he is a technical wizard or an elite 'great', but when he's in a right frame of mind, he can be amazingly relentless and keep up the pace for 12 rounds, and he THRIVES on exchanges.

He works the body extremely hard and has a good punch repertoire....and a solid chin.

I'm amazed people can't see that at 135 when he has been "on" in fights.

    Peace.

This was a great fight (the best one of the night) but I don't think it warrants anykind of rematch though!!:nono:

    Why not?

I'm usually not one for "automatic rematches", agree with you there.

But I can see this one happening.

    Peace.
