Diaz/Katsidis was the fight that was supposed to go down... and honestly, I couldn't even really get excited for Diaz/Campbell because I was so disapointed it fell apart.

What would have happened? Was Diaz ready for a whipping last night or did Nate make him ready?

Same. Idealy, Campbell would right the winner of Katsidis/Casa. I'd love to see the winner of that give Diaz another crack.

I fear that Diaz could be frozen out of the title picture because of this DK situation.

I dunno if Diaz would have won or loss, but I do know that even if he beat Katsidis, his face would have been fucked up afterwards.

forget diaz. at least we know katsidis wouldn't have folded up like diaz did once he saw his own blood.

Don't know....Katsidis is much more defensively liable than Nate is, and doesn't have the workrate or pace that Campbell set (nor the skill).

And his face falls apart with a breeze.

Still a compelling set of fights.

    Peace.

You are correct that he's worse defensively than Campbell, and that his face falls apart, HOWEVER I think he could surely set a similar(or even superior) pace and workrate, and he's alot younger and fresher than Campbell. I think Katsidis is physically stronger than Juan and could push him back.

Katsidis punches in bunches...he waits for the attack then covers up or backs up, then takes his turn.

And he's not that fluid because he loads up on his short hooks.

He may force the fight just as much, but his workrate won't be the same as Campbell's.

    Peace.

I would say the body punches bothered him more than the cuts.

Umm you may wanna watch the fight before you start predicting how Diaz would fare w/o a cut. Campbell just beat his ass, plain and simple. He outpunched Diaz, backed him up, wore him down to the body, and didnt wilt physically or mentally under Juan's attack.
