I feel Morrisons commitment was a much bigger hinderance than his chin.

 

The same can be said for a lot of fighters, though.

Michael Bent put him down three times in thefirst round and scored a TKO. He may have understimated his opponent, but he lost because he couldn't handle the shots.

If Margarito had half the skills of Miguel Cotto he would've defeated Paul Williams...but wide punching/slow ass Margarito couldn't do shit against his sparring partner....

 

Who the fuck is Michael Bent? I missed that fight but if he's as ordinary as he sounds it sounds to me like commitment was the problem.

I didn't see the fight but I would think a noncommitment to training would leave a fighter vulnerable to having his chin checked which in my opinion makes the commitment the problem, not the chin.

I've seen Tommy look a lot better than that. Those punches he was throwing when he had the guy on the rope were missing badly and not connecting well with the kind of snap I've seen from him. Just my opinion but I think commitment was the bigger problem, anyone in the HW division can get KO'd. But yes the chin was an issue.

no, there is nothing skillful with Margarito throwing looping/slow punches and missing by a mile.....thats being unskillful..

Cotto running? :: It's call boxing Kauki, it's call counter punching...maybe Mosley hurt him with punch...GOOD FOR MIGUEL that he can switch it up when hurt..he can adopt in mid fight....

The only time you could possibly say Cotto RAN..was in round 12...and he wasn't running he was staying away from Mosley trying to keep contact to a minumum after all he had already won 8-9 rounds...ROUNDs 7-12 where you and maybe double L would say Cotto ran..he was still landing the harder shots..and snapping Mosley head back w/ counter punches...and taking the lead more times that not..
